I really think he does absolutely nothing.
He was all highly regarded as an upcoming coaching candidate too before he was hired. He must have made the right connections around the league.

You could still see where Spoelstra added value though while Bron was there. The hyper aggressive defense that he designed and then the lineup that they had switching Bosh to the 5.
