Official NBA 2k13 Thread

Thats it! I'm making an OS ID. You ever notice you really can't blow anyone out online? I just (barely)beat this guy and the Lakers with the Heat. Whatever aids they have to keep the game close, they need to lose. ASAP!

Within the first few minutes of the first quarter, it was obvious who was the better player. I was up 24 to 11 at the end of the first. Then, that "2k ****" started happening. Chalmers was throwing the ball directly to defenders, I'll make a pass to Lebron making a wide open cut towards the basket, then, at the last second, he'll run the other way. Turnover. Why would even do that?!

The 4th comes, I'm up by 7. Couple of weird turn overs, Kobe starts hitting fade away threes from the wing(I also notice no matter what Chalmers keeps trying to guard Kobe. TF?). I was ready for that, it's Kobe. We go down and score an easy basket. We are up by 2. Dude calls a timeout, I go to my match ups to put Lebron on Kobe, and all the defensive match ups are set to sag off and double team in the paint for EVERYONE. 2k is straight up cheating to help this man come back.:x :smh:

Why are we even playing, if 2k is going to try and decide how the game is going to play out before hand?? I understand you don't want little Timmy to get blown out every time he plays a grown man, but that is what matchmaking and rankings are for!

This is why I skipped 2K11. Theres always that feeling that you really don't have control over the game.

Please release the shackles and give us us our game!!!!

I've never been so pissed about a win in my life....

Its really unbalanced. Somebody with closer sig will make ANY AND EVERYTHING. The game will make shts that used to be good turn into crap. I keep playing cause its the only game I own, but Honestly this happens every year. 2k wont patch everything until maybe December or January. For now, deal with damn near half court threes being made by Kobe in the fourth.

Miami isn't putting up as much of a fight as I thought they would be. We're leading them 3-0 in the series. It's looking like a
SWEEP!

Lets hope we can blow them out in game 4 and take it all the way home. Where we'll more than likely see the Lakers. They're beating the Nuggets just as bad as we're beating the Heat.

Boozer is racking up on fouls lately. Good thing about this series is that we got Noah back :pimp:

Bron is going off, even though they aren't winning. Dude dunked on Nate Robinson at least 4 times so far.

I actually thought the Heat would give us some competition, but they haven't been a big issue now that we have Joakim back.
Games 1 and 2 were close, but we took all determination away from them it seems because in game 3 we ran off with a 17 point win.
D.Wade has put up 25 per game, and he's been abusing Nate just as I thought he would. I've been setting off ball screens to get Nate open for 3's though

I picked up 7 steals and 9 assists along side 26 points in game 2 :pimp:

Many of those sig skills aren't needed man. The closer skill wasn't needed since every 2K ever made aleady had an issue with a high rate of "Buzzer" shots going in.
 
Im curious now if you have a high clutch rating do your bars still go gold? Or does it only happen with closer?
 
So 2 things, now that I've played what I'd consider 'the hell out of it' (i played 80% of the games in myplayer after being drafted by Mil.  Won 6th man of the year with solid team play as a pass-first PG while I built up my shooting.  We lost in game 7 to the Heat in the conference finals (lost the first 3 games then won the next 3 to force a game 7 was pretty sick) but not being in at the end of games and STILL not having a 3point shot is driving me nuts.  I bought VC for my arm n calf sleeves since I rock those every time i play regardless XD.  Took the starting job away from Ellis (I get along better with Jennings cuz he'll actually shoot an open jumper and give me the assist instead of prancing around and then shooting a contested layup, so I *****ed that I didn't like playing with Ellis, and that he was in my way, and I started my third season at the point with jennings at the 2 and Ellis as the 6th man.  Lil ***** would come in and not let me run the offense and just run up and shoot jays like he was all, 'bish i'ma get mine.'  Demanded a trade, made some recommendations and I love it, got what I wanted and then some and ditched Ellis and the non-rebounding Ilyasova.  Here's my concern... I want to sign an extension, but they gave me 500 coins/year when I got drafted and that's all their offering me 25 games into my contract year despite notable improvements from playing more minutes (2 PoW and top 10 in the league in EFF) so I'm feeling pretty disrespected... but they just went out and made changes that I suggested and got rid of the cancer Monta had become (we lost 8 straight after he demanded a trade and started being a lil ***** during the game). 

Has anyone gotten a better contract after playing out their 2 years and the team picking up the option?  I don't wanna be a punk i do wanna stay but I feel like they're lowballing me and was curious what sort of deals people got that tested FA or waited til after the season to resign.

So yah, I'm into it and I like the idea of a myplayer blog maybe i'll do something for it on my site when I get it up.

As for gameplay... there are some things that drive me nuts. e.g. my top 3 guy passing up an open look when we're down by 8 with a minute left to dribble around then dish to the SF who can't shoot anything but a transition layup, the complete disregard for rebounding, etc.  I have a theory tho... I've noticed the more I hit the boards early the better the team commits to rebounding for the game, like i'm setting the example.  Same goes for iso moves and pressing, is that just in my head or anyone else seen the team reflect your gameplay?  I'm currently on all-star and waitin to bump it up til I get to play in that game or win a championship.

I'm regretting not playing all the games. Might start another one as a 3pt specialist since that's the most expensive att besides speed and quickness

Truth be told, you don't even need a high rating to hit the threes that count. Its all about that consistancy. High enough consistancy, you'll hit most of your open shots.
 
I play pretty much every game but if I see a non-conference game against a scrub right before a key game (it glows on the calendar) sometimes I'll skip the non-conference game to get to the other.  I usually would just shorten the season to like 58 or whatever but this has worked fine
 
do you get vc if you skip games? ive been playing every game so far and im am 47 games in the season about to play in the rising stars game no all star this year but i am gonna push the 2nd half of the season and try to get rookie of the year and most improved idk how they even quantify that award but ive been balling since i got traded to miami.

Yes you get VC and also achievements.

I sim my last month bc i already knew i had ROY and 6th man on lock and we was first in the east. After simming the lat month. it notify me that i completed a couple of challenges, Made 100 consecutive free throws, dish out 100 assist and etc.
 
so why didnt they announce that i was ROY? and why did the category 6th Man get completely deleted. i go to season awards and they only show who made 1st, 2nd and 3rd Nba and defense. no MVP, Most improved or nothing...wth
 
im at game 2 semi up 2-0 on Denver...

i wont win the chip bc my team cant rebound worth crap...Scola and Beasley are weak on the boards. i give up at least 10 Offensive rebounds every game!!! **** pisses me the F off!!

nah i won it...when i check my personal timeline it say i won ROY and 1st team rookie but i guess i didnt win 6 man bc its not there.

Go ham on that mid range jumper until you get hot, then take a few steps back towards that 3pt line and you'll be looking like a beast

Yea, Im trying. I got 11 trainings available so I'm gon increase my consistency and see what I look like



Edit: So, into my fourth year, the Lakers have Kobe, Lebron, Pau, and Amare? Seriously?
