OFFICIAL NBA 2K19 Thread | Available Now

This year, if i get the game, I’ll be at the park cheesing like the rest of the community.
Last year i made a 6’2 PG Two Way Playmaker, but this year I’m doing a center or power forward that can shoot ridiculous 3 pointer and snatch rebounds.

Will be avoiding MyTeam because it left a bad taste in my mouth in 2k18.

Live 10 was the year they tried to implement dual stick dribbling, right? That feature blew my mind because of how much sense it made. One stick for player movement one stick for ball movement.

I hope someone revisits that idea at some point.

Aint this been in 2k ever since?

So you can only cop early if you buy the 20th anniversary edition? Looks like i’ll keep that extra $40 and wait til Tuesday.

More user v user gameplay

I watched about a minute. That’s all I could endure. These dudes are terrible.

Anyways ... lighting of the arena/court still looks terrible. It appears closely guarding/bumping the ball handler will result in a steal like last year.

Stuff that gets overlooked.
Stuff that people don't consider when they claim, "Same exact game as last year."

But those that care will read

NBA 2K19 Gameplay Blog - Now with videos :

From the blog, game looks very solid. I see new animations, subtle but very nice. The game needed that, just to freshen up the game play a bit

Finished up the prelude yesterday and thought it was decent.
Decided to make a 6;8 Driving & Finishing/Defending SF.

Player DNA
I detailed our new incredibly robust Create Player feature up above. Player DNA is a new feature that ties into it in that it that allows you to download, create, and/or share templates of created players via Edit Player to use in custom rosters or draft classes. With Player DNA, you can choose to import everything about any player (past or present), just the player’s likeness, or just the player’s attributes.
You may find this handy when creating a draft class and you want to create a player in the mold of another player. Or perhaps you just want to create yourself while giving yourself every detail of LeBron’s game. This is yet another feature created at the request of you, our fans; we look forwarding to see what you can all do with it!

Face scan import on the Prelude keeps getting stuck at 47%. You'd think these geniuses would give you an option to use your scan from last year.

I think passing should be harder.

i dont know how, exactly, they would accomplish making passing skill based (beyond basketball IQ) they HAVE made a couple tweaks i.e. alley oop success rate, # of "wild" passes, flashy pass success rate, etc.

however, i think it's, at times, too easy to pass....especially when you have all these dudes spamming momentum dribbles and passing across court, backwards like they're lebron....(i think this should depend on your strength attribute.....weak players should get slow animations with slow velocity on pass, and vice versa)

.
Passing: I think passes need to be delivered outside of "shooting pockets" at a higher rate.
I feel like catches should be fumbled when poor passers make passes to players with low hands ratings.
In general, passing is way too easy, and we haven't touched situational passing.
Passing out of a sprint, passing out of dribbling moves.

They also need to nerf downcourt passing. They are still WAY too successful at this point.
