I can't fathom spending real money on fake money, just can't do it

edit***
i'm playing right now
I make a layup fall down, get stuck in the animation where your player falls to the ground as if he's hurt, gets up wobbly, meanwhile the other team has inbounded the ball and already down the other end, I get docked almost a whole teammate grade for "leaving my assignment" while i'm stuck in an animation I don't control

I'll start this by saying I skipped on '18 because I heard so many people hated the VC model. I loved MyCareer in '17 aside from the repetitive storyline.

So far MyCareer is just ok. You can tell its still pushing you to just pay to upgrade your player because you really have to grind out from the mud in order to get any real progress on your rating. With '17 you did those mandatory practices and it helped you gain practice points. I don't care for the shot mechanics at all but they made the other physics of the game a lot better.

they take too much from you for things out of your control, yeah people fall and get hurt on plays and the other team gets the advantage
but you're not getting punished for being a bad teammate for getting hurt

Does the difficulty pick up past the G League/Prelude portion?

Stats and highlights I'm getting are unreal...

I signed with the lakers. The story mode so far has been cool. I like how they brought past antagonist back :nthat:

Might be locked in with the Rockets. If not, just taking whatever Miami gives me.

I don't know about anyone else but I make an effort to play realistically to avoid this. I don't take shots that aren't good looks. I keep my attempts around 17 at most. I don't call for a pass unless I'm wide open. Set screens. Etc etc. Averaging like 17/2/4 on 47/38/67(I hate that you're so awful at free throws by default). It's taking a while to get my rating higher but I feel like I'm gonna be better for it. I find the ridiculous stats corny if I'm being honest

Still in the early stages, just feel like I should expand my routine dribble repertoire to increase my scoring.

With decent stats, I feel I could average a good 15/5/5 and that's being modest. If it's any flaw in my play style, I probably command control of the ball too much.

i'm trash at dribbling. I can give you a basic cross and a good half spin but that's it. I don't care for all that jingle jangle anyway
I get the Normal 4 crossover package, one that Stanley Johnson uses, you hit that crossing half court and you can get to the basket easy peasy

anybody here have any HOF badges yet? im close to getting my limitless range & catch and shoot on HOF

I’m on the Lakers as well now. Offered most VC of 1000. Between them and the pistons.

Probably will play with them after one season and decide from there after the season is over.

Ante Zizic is balling though and they got rid of that bum TT
Decided to take my talents to the Cavs. 1000 VC 19 minutes as a Small Forward.
