Think the authentics had a stitched logo and the replicas had a printed patch. But nothing was ever screen printed, NBA logo wise.

Don't know if this is what you're referring to, but some replicas had a NBA logo in a felt-like material that was heat-pressed (I guess). I have a Mutombo like that:

I tend to find that the current Swingman jerseys fit smaller (and better) than the Soul Swingman jerseys I have,

I get all my jerseys tailored though, only costs me £7 (around $12)
