I like the j crew ones try out Uniqlo. Those are truly on point, both the low-cut and the no-show.

I can second that, Uniqlo no shows are the best I own out of Uniqlo, J.Crew and Banana Republic.

nice, some day, I am rotating on several packs of the jcrews, do they have a strip, clear rubber, on the heel to avoid slipping?

ah yet to own a 996 model myself, something about that model, though the new mid looks really cool.
I think the 990 model is my second favorite after the 1400

997 is soo clunky for me but it's getting better the more I wear. The 990 has better suede, IMO. To me, 998 still beats them both.

Yeah the no shows have them and their low cut socks are the first ones I've seen that also have it. Helps out a tom. In fairness, I've so far only worn the no-show pair I have with some Asics Kayanos that stay hugged on your foot anyway so it's hard to know if they'll work the same with say a pair of 998s but I'll probably try that next.

Social status 1600s are actually pretty dope in hand. The promo pictures shot for the store didn't showcase the shape very well and made them look more banana like than they actually are.
The vegetable tan leather actually doesn't look treated and I'm curious if it may actually develop a decent patina.
Full leather insole as well.
Not bad for $165. I'll take some pics tomorrow.
