The GY2 reminds me of the M990N2 (seems like the GY2 replaced the N2s) which i actually prefer more (don’t like how the overlay on the toe box is a darker grey on the GR2)

nvm mans doesn’t even have the right shoes labeled correctly

Did you take this photo? Shoe on the left is M990N2 not GY2.

Idk how many times it needs to be said but:
M990GR2 = M990GY2 [only difference is GR2 produced 2020 & earlier]
M990NV2 = M990NB2 [same deal NV2 produced 2020 & earlier]
M990BK2 = M990BL2 [same deal BK2 produced 2020 & earlier]

I can't rationalize why NB did this but I also don't understand how it has put so many of your brains in a pretzel. Also anything listed as Kith "colour" on stockx is a double listing. Only because kith started the rerelease of those shoes back in like 2019. The only one truly different or kith exclusive is the shark V2.

So another question, what makes the shark collection different than the normal navy colorways for those particular shoes?

So here's the problem. I keep seeing people say they're the same shoe but then say it's just a different shade or tone. To me that means it's not the same shoe. Ha.

The 990NV2 & 990NB2 have smooth grey overlays & tongues, these were/are available through most preimium NB stockists & NB.com. The Shark CW M990KI2 was a Kith exclusive from 2019, the major difference being the overlays & tongue are pebbled leather and much darker (maybe navy I don't own a pair). Also those were only ever available through Kith hence the KI in the product code.

Like I said before, they're the same shoe & if there is any slight difference in colour it is either due to natural difference in how the cut of pigskin took the grey dye or filter/lighting differences between photos. No one has posted a side by side yet cause anyone who has the GR2 has no reason to buy the GY2 because they are the same shoe. I had 2 pairs of GR2s last year that I ooped in here that were slightly different shades of grey, it happens.

Works for me because the GY is available for retail at the moment at most places, while obviously the GR isn't. I just didn't want to to pay more the GR if they GY was the same shoe, which apparently it is. Thanks.
