He's turning in to Soriano. The first thing that lead to the downfall of Alfonso was his decrease in hitting flyballs which led to a decrease in XHB's same thing that happened to Hanley last season. He's started to swing at more pitches out of the zone as well. Although, I'll admit I was wrong on the opposite field power he showed more of that this season. He hasn't been driving in runners on base for a person who should be (especially the protection of Uggla and Sanchez in that lineup) and that's something we need help in.
Defense will improve but probably only because our rotation is stacked with fly ball pitchers. He won't be exposed as much. We've had our share of attitudes that we thought would change once they came on the team. I for one don't want to take that risk, especially considering what we'd have to give up to get Hanley away from them in the first place.
