Doesn't the fact Drew had more options favor Gronk? Everyone knows Gronk is getting the ball and yet can't be stopped. Numbers don't always tell the story though. See my previous post about Rice vs Irving. However Gronk is the far superior player. I'd bet the defensive players around the league will even agree with that.

Gronk in NE vs Jimmy in NO is a more apples to apples comparison then Rice vs Irving because the type of offense they both run is pass happy. Unlike the run happy offense Dallas ran. I had to throw that Rice Irving thing in there to not sound hypocritical on this Gronk Jimmy debate.

Fryar?

Yes, there are wrong opinions. :lol Literally thousands. Millions, even.

"It's just my opinion. Can't be wrong."

Yes. Yes it absolutely can be.

CP totally pulled that "featured" argument out of his ***.

From 2011 to 2014 Jimmy Graham lead the Saints in targets every year, Rob Gronkowski never lead the New England Patriots NOT ONE time in targets in any of those years.

So please elaborate how Gronk was featured more.

From 2011-2014 New Orleans Saints attempted more passes than any team in NFL history except the Detroit Lions. The New Orleans Saints also were a bottom 4 run to pass ratio team during that time frame.

So please elaborate how the New Orleans Saints had a more balanced offense.

Saying Gronk was featured more in New England is your opinion is like me saying in my opinion I'm taller than Dirk. :lol

But he continues to come back from them and dominate at the highest level.

Gronk is a machine.

He has come back from those injuries and performed at a very high level, but at what price? Logically speaking, there always comes a point where the body just can't "do it anymore" and hits a wall.

I think it would be foolish to believe we can expect this kind of production for the next 5-7 years. I honestly do believe he'll start to slow down within the next few years, and it'll be a sharp drop-off. It always happens to all the great players.

Gronk's production will go down after the Pats add Megatron and Josh Gordon next year.

How?

Sports are subjective. And constant.

Every week we read in here (and elsewhere) This guy is great, then the week after nothing, then a week later he's great again.

Hot take after hot take.

And it's every sport. See "Has Steph surpassed Bron?"

Mike Trout GOAT, then Bryce Harper catches fire....... :lol

Every day, week, season, year, the pendulum swings. I try not to ride that wave. I try not to jump player to player week to week.

If that makes me wrong, *shrugs*

Gronk's a much better blocker than Jimmy, also.
I'll block you.

<3
I'll get Kwadell to beat you up, papi.
LMAO.

Jimmy > Gronk.

Those years Gronk were injured it was always bu bu bu bu but IF Gronk was healthy....

Jimmy gets injured, and he's no better than Witten, Gates, Chico, etc. :lol

Some guys get the benefit of the doubt, some don't. *shrugs*

To be fair the Pats only ever win Super Bowls when Gronk is healthy which was only last year. In 2011 they made it so close until he busted his foot in the AFCC before the Super Bowl vs the Giants.

As much as I dislike Gronkowski, he's arguably the best TE in the NFL right now and I'm not sure how his body will hold up through all these injuries he's be having. I know he's not built the same way as most NFL players, but how much punishment can human being take?

I think you also have to consider the severity of the type of injuries Gronk has had the past few years. We're not talking about some sprained ankles or concussions. We're talking about blows to the joints and limbs.
You might be the first person on this board I've seen say they dislike Gronk.

 Props.

I agree 100%. As much as I hate to say it, I think he's a ticking time bomb.

The reason he dropped in the draft was because of back issues that raised serious red flags. Some medical people were saying it was only a matter of time before it all went to **** and advised teams not to draft him. He's had the back thing pop up here and there (randomly came up on injury report last week), nothing devastating so far though.

I appreciate him while he's still here and being himself because you just never know when his time will be up. I know this applies to every NFL player, but it could literally be over at any snap for dude.

I just don't think his body will make it to Tony or Antonio's career length.
