wtf how does that make sense?? what would KDs shoe height have anything to do with kobes or vice versa? 

Just coming from the standpoint that Nike would benefit from have versatility in their signatures.

Does anyone remember the custom Kobe 5 or 6, could've been a 4, that had sand on them? Was wondering who did that custom, could be a nice touch on the VBs.

Exactly. I highly doubt those pics are designs from Nike...if they were, the "Nike Kobe 9" thread would've been started when those pics first surfaced months ago...

But anyway...back to the Kobe 8.

You'll have to stay hyped for awhile longer...the color description from Nike for the Elites releasing on 6/1 is White/Gold.

But about 3 weeks ago Nike tweeted the release dates for the KD, Lebron and Kobe elites. They even listed a picture with the black/gold elites.

So now they decided to just change it?

I don't think we know for sure -- but I chatted an NDC rep and uploaded an image of the black and gold pair.  She told me that there was no release image available yet for the "white/gold" release on 6/1

It's not lookin like the black pair is coming on 6/1...

The color description from Nike and Eastbay is White/Gold for 6/1, so it's possible that Nike is dropping the Season Ender Elites...

Nike has been throwing curveballs lately with their color descriptions...but I was ready for those Black/Gold Elites too.

Damn they're clean!!! Don't think it will work on the VBs. Probably couldn't do it to the 8 at all. Had a vision of the sand being in the sole on the VBs.

its a signature shoe not a hyperdunk which means its built to kobes specifications nike has no say in whether Kobes or KDs are Mid High or low tops.
