For me it was a huge difference. I'm a 10 and when I tried on a 10.5 it felt too sloppy in the toe box.
But everybody's feet is different so who knows what works for you.

I'm an 11.5 in Kobe's and they fit absolutely PERFECT. I have enough toe space and feels just right. When I go up to a Size 12, it feels like I am swimming in them. When I go down to a Size 11, my toes are scrunched up in the toebox.

I play about 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, and I can whole heartedly say that the 8's are the most comfortable shoes to ball in.
As far as injuries due to them, they literally make my body feel younger, more rejuvenated (if that's possible) than any other shoe I've hooped in.
Comparing them to Kobe 5,6,7 - Rose 1, 1.5, 2 - AJ XI, XIV

I thought the 4s were much more padded than the 5s because of the phylon? Two separate beasts IMO. You don't feel that way?

The 4s bottomed out too fast. The 5s fixed that issue. 5s were just as comfy as the 4s but I personally didn't like how it looked like it was all made out of the foam.

To me 4's and 5's were great in their own rights just depended on preference. For some the 4's bottomed out and the 5's were stiff out the box and needed to be broken in. Small flaws but great performance either way you want it.

Loving these elites, so much better than the crap they brought out last year, this gold swoosh looks like it will last a lot longer this time. I can see nike quality control wasnt the greatest butI avoided 240 after tax and got these for 175 with discounts and gift card!

Just copped my pair today (was extremely hard finding a 13) paid 190 with bday coup and gift card. Speaking from a kobe 7 elite owner these are 100x better then last years elite and comfort and your right about the swoosh the 8s model looks more reinforced and layered then last years look like they spray painted it. Pics dont do this shoe justice

First time seeing the heel clip up close (haven't seen the shoe in person). I thought it was speckles on the outside of the heel clip but it looks ike it's within the carbon fiber weave, gives it a classier look.
