250 or 200 for Nike sweatpants is bannaland. The "performance" aspect is minimal at best. All pure marketing. Not going to cut your mile time by 1 minute or anything
No piece of clothing or sneaker for that matter will just cut a minute off your mile. That comes with training. But there are obviously sneakers that can aid you to improve.
If you run a mile in an AF1 vs a Flyknit Racer you are going to feel a difference in the performance of each sneaker.
The same thing applies to the Tech Knit Windrunner. You will notice a difference.
At the end of the day it's all based on personal opinion. That's what "worth" is. To a serious runner the Tech Knit may well be worth the investment. To the average Joe the price may be appaling. It all depends whether or not you place value on the construction and technology used to produce these pieces.
