I really don't get how Nike hasn't released SNKRS for Android yet. Wtf are they doing?
As a mobile developer who works on making apps for both world, really have to say if there are not enough people using the app (thus spammy ads pays off), it's not really worth it making an Android app. Of course SNKRS app isn't the case here which loads tons of spammy ads at bottom of the screen, it's a tougher task (more dev/testing/QA time) and lesser rewards (majority android users don't pay/contribute) from resources/reputation perspective.

So if the general iOS/Android experience applies, Android users will only use SNKRS app for copping popular kicks, while iOS users may form the habits to shop by using the app on regular basis. Of course this may not be true (only Nike knows the answer), but Nike definitely did some research and made conscious decision.

For the record, I ain't supporting them doing so. I believe all customers deserves the top notch experience if the company consider themselves the leader of the industry. They killed Snowboarding line which pissed me off so bad, and it's obviously another conscious decision from swoosh.

You wouldn't have a job long then. Turns out the customer pays your paycheck so if you don't take care of them you don't get one. I'm sure you have experienced this though.
Last time I checked it was the employers that pay our paychecks, or am I missing something?

I think everyone means that Nike is not a mom&pop shop, they can do fine with a few disgruntled customers and CS not taking care of everyone the same.
I get that but when I ran a call center if one of my CS agents would have done that to a customer they would be boxing up their desk 5 minutes later. Just cause they are large doesn't make it acceptable. You would think that being as large as they are that they could spend some extra money and get the issues fixed instead of having more crappy CS agents like guy back there who wouldn't want to do his job.

Kaitlyn
Hello, my name is Kaitlyn, how can I help you?

sam
so im alittle upset after the release this morning.

sam
i was using my phone to make the purchase and it put me in a line to checkout.... while i was waiting it changed to say that there was a release product in my cart and that i should check out...

sam
so i exited the line assuming that it had been put into my cart like it had said but low and behold it was not there.. making me lose my place in line and my chance to get a pair..... on top of all of this i cannot use the SNKRS app because you only allow it on the apple phones.

Kaitlyn
Hi Sam, I am sorry to hear about your experience. There was a lot of people trying to purchase these shoes, with only a limited amount of stock.

sam
yeah i get that.... but your website said i had a pair in my cart when i didnt

sam
i screenshotted it

Kaitlyn
When there is a limited amount of stock, the cart does not hold your item if someone else is checking out with the same size on low inventory.

sam
then wtf is the point of the cart?

sam
also i was able to get back in line after it had told me it was in my cart when it actually wasnt

Kaitlyn
It is hard for the system to keep track of inventory when there are thousands of people trying to purchase one item.

Kaitlyn
I am very sorry for your experience. These shoes are very rare, and Nike intends to keep them that way.

She obviously didnt like the conversation cause she exited it after that.

No point in complaining to the rep. They can't help you. Just be patient and wait for the restock. Take the L for now b.

Yeah Kaitlyn shoulda ran over to the SNKRS developers and manually re-added your one pair to the cart. Be real.

If an employee said they got em... They got em but not dropping em.

It'll be random. You guys gotta be smart and know how the game rolls.

If stores drop today itll be random and likely today/night from 3pm - 7pm

Or itll be this weekend or next week.
true about the random drop that could happen anytime if they know they have the shoe, but all of the employees are standing ground with the whole "it is only available through online or the apps", all the legwork is getting annoying now, but if i ever get this shoe, i know it'll all be worth it.

also the guy infront of me in line told his girl next to me saying "he got 5 pairs online this morning and he's already got 2 buyers for 500$" I mean someones always gonna pay resell but i'm like damn man.

yup, they are giving me a bs excuse saying since they are running shoes, and running is a sport, they can charge tax....well I'll be filing a petition with the state....this is total BS....PA here btw
