As a mobile developer who works on making apps for both world, really have to say if there are not enough people using the app (thus spammy ads pays off), it's not really worth it making an Android app. Of course SNKRS app isn't the case here which loads tons of spammy ads at bottom of the screen, it's a tougher task (more dev/testing/QA time) and lesser rewards (majority android users don't pay/contribute) from resources/reputation perspective.I really don't get how Nike hasn't released SNKRS for Android yet. Wtf are they doing?
So if the general iOS/Android experience applies, Android users will only use SNKRS app for copping popular kicks, while iOS users may form the habits to shop by using the app on regular basis. Of course this may not be true (only Nike knows the answer), but Nike definitely did some research and made conscious decision.
For the record, I ain't supporting them doing so. I believe all customers deserves the top notch experience if the company consider themselves the leader of the industry. They killed Snowboarding line which pissed me off so bad, and it's obviously another conscious decision from swoosh.
