What if the NBA season does not happen? the olympics would be ideal to push the current models instead of anticipating on new ones.

by that time, the current model (7) would have been exposed for a good 7
months already. pushing a model that released 7 months ago would make
zero sense. end of July-2nd week of august... new model/kobe 8

Nike started putting it on basketball shoes in 1988. The Jordan IV was the first in the Air Jordan line to have it in 1989.
