oh well. Really happy with mine anyways.

wasting your time and money  with that SSD

upgrade to a PCI SSD its worth it
PCI Express-SSDs don't come cheap, though.

Still really happy with mine... worth it for the faster boot and load times.

Just got my NZXT extension cables re-sleeved. Picked them up earlier after work. They look much better now.

Still needs a bit more refinement, but we'll get there.

my friend just opened up my old CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO-G mouse. Apparently, the laser is dead. Lasted only six months. Good call on getting a new mouse ASAP.

Newegg had OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSDs for $100 w/ free shipping last time I checked

^ Nice. It's $114.99 on Newegg now. $99.99 with the mail-in rebate.

The M4 is at $124.99.

I would've copped the 256 GB one if it was at that price.

The 128GB M4 is $119.99 on Amazon right now. Damn.

Almost hit 1300MHz on my GTX 680.

Actually, I did hit 1300MHz, but it was pretty unstable, though.

Hit that 70C mark to quickly... this summer heat is definitely not conducive for overclocking. Ambient temperature: 32C/89.6F

Do SSDs really offer significant performance improvements? I'm getting mixed reactions from people on other message boards.

I'm thinking about making it my first upgrade when I get a laptop (swapping out the disc drive for an SSD).

its like going from a CD writer 1X to 60 X so you really do see improvements and in real time too not just on paper

Will never.......ever...........ever.........ever! use a non ssd as a boot drive again. Ever!
You dont even need the latest fastest ssd's to see the speed gain from using a nasty hdd

Sounds good, the laptop I'm looking into has a 5400 rpm HDD so I plan to move that to the disc bay and put the OS on the SSD and boot off of it.

Whyhellothere, I'll probably be hitting you up in the near future.

What laptop are you looking into?
& don't just hit me up, you want as much info as you can get before making any big purchases.

MBP 13", i5/500GB.

I've already done my research, but I wanted to hit you up cause I know you're familiar with Macs and some tricks with them.

only know a few things, better off hitting up the mac thread on how to move the disc drive & install lion on the ssd.
& obviously wait for the ivy bridge refresh before buying one.

This.

But only as a boot drive, though. Still trust my HDD for more important files.

installing the optibay void warranty
you could reinstall the dvd drive if u ever need service but its still kinda risky

you should check out some hybrid ssd+hdd

seagate makes a good hybrid

You make that sound like a problem? The 680 will win in higher then 1080p res and multi monitor but its great to see more bang for your buck
