Official PC thread.

Not really, I don't think any company would hold out so much on the supply of their product to the point of forcing other potential customers to look elsewhere (i.e., ATi/AMD), just because they couldn't put their hands on one.

But then again, maybe retailers needed a little "push" to clear their current inventory first (a la Intel delaying Ivy Bridge).

i think they do, the same thing happened with the past two generations of cards.

Nvidia just trickles some out to retailers knowing enthusiasts will scoop them up, even over retail price.

^ they don't make any money on the markup over retail, though... or do they?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 SLI is an amazing pixel-crunching solution. Priced at around $800, or 20% cheaper than NVIDIA's Kepler flagship GeForce GTX 690, the solution is found to be just 2% slower. Since the GTX 690 performs near-identical to GTX 680 SLI, the inference carries on: it's just 2% slower while being 20% cheaper. As a result, the two other costlier solutions are smoked in the price/performance equation.

Nice. You got the 670 that's sold out everywhere. Good cooler, too.

That and the ASUS DirectCU II TOP (not out yet) are probably the best out of the lot.

EDIT: Looks like that HX650 would be adequate if you don't SLI.

1st world problems, diablo won't run on my CPU, says I need a more capable processor?(this was when I tried dl'ing beta, I dont get it, I run wow, sc2 and dota2...)

I'm a caveman running NASA technology, in other words I'm completely uneducated in the computer field, if someone can direct me to the cheapest processor? I've also got 3computers laying around, can I just switch our the processor or does it have to be compatible?

I probably would have all these questions answered with 30mins worth of googling, but im a lazy Kunt.. Appreciate it fam.

You can't just switch processors. You need to check first if the processor is compatible to the motherboard socket and vice-versa.
If you want to go the affordable route, hit up AMD's line up processors. Decent bang for their price. Intel is really nice, but they're a bit on the expensive end.

Thanks bruh, I sure as heck wasn't gonna pay the 424 they were charging.

Corsair should last me for awhile, no plans on SLI, maybe in the future (or price drop/sale

) Wishful thinking.

Edit: Also I was able to do some cable management (thank you corsair for those zipties) , took a while, but looks alot cleaner and much more better airflow.

Went through another cheapo molex splitter. Second burnt one in two weeks. Cheap wiring FTL.

Connected to my fan controller, too, which runs the rad fans. (which didn't run). And my brother decided to play Assassin's Creed: Revelations all afternoon long, to boot.

Gonna try to get a hold of some molex connectors and thicker wiring next week and try to make my own. Oh, and might get some sleeving and heatshrink while I'm at it. This should be a good project.

Thinking of soldering the wires on top of clamping them. thoughts?

hey zk, do you know how to clean a razer kabuto? mines so dirty now, im havng second thoughts
of just washing it with soap and water. tia

^ Unfortunately, I have no idea.
laugh.gif
But maybe soap and water will suffice?

Actually not that familiar with Razer products, besides purchasing this mouse pad. Definitely not planning to purchase any more products from them after doing so, either.

If you dont wanna waste money purchasing games that your pc wont run I suggest that you stop  being one. Use this http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx
There may also be other issues that have yet to make them self known that may also cause you to not be able to run the game

Got one when dell was selling them for $300. Great little netbook. Light, powerful enough to handle basic task, decent battery life 4 1/2 hours - 5hrs.
The trackpad isn't the greatest but its usable. The fan get a little noisy at times but its bearable.

The first one is bigger & faster than the second one but lacks hdmi (dunno if thats important to you), the second one is lighter & slower (still good enough for web browsing, movies, etc)  & has hdmi but does not have a optical drive (you can purchase the combo that comes with a blu ray burner or get a portable drive from somewhere else)
