Official PC thread.

Don't see the point in having a 40 inch TV unless it's for an HTPC or something ...

More real estate b.

Might not even need to scale with a screen that big.

No more choosing between watching Brittney white do her thing with da meat or watching da latest unboxing video.

More than enough room have both on screen at da same time while keeping da web browsers opened on da other side with outlook opened on da bottom.

Just need some more $$ for da 1080 to complement it.

40 is massive tho for a monitor if you're gonna be sitting at a desk.

Would rather have a 34 UW or something

^ Nah, I'd recommend a free combo of Malwarebytes + Microsoft Security Essentials + NoScript in Firefox.

If you get malware/viruses beyond that, that's on you.
I use NoScript and BitDefender, haven't gotten a virus since the Limewire days

Also i got a chance to play with the XPS 13 w/ the Kabylake processor, that will 100% be my next laptop after this ASUS dies (been going strong for almost 3 years)

What's the smartest buy:

Upgrade my GPU to 1070 or 1080 and get 4k monitor?

Or

Upgrade 50" TV to 4k? I sit about 10' from the tv

Upgrading tv to 4k.

Amd's vega gpus are around the corner, which would give you gtx 1080 performance for a cheaper price, and you'd be able to get a 4k monitor with freesync($100 cheaper than g-sync).

My man. I had the same thought about it being cheaper to upgrade the monitor and GPU down the line. My issue with the TV is I also have to upgrade my PS4/buy a 4k blu ray, or get a XB1S :lol

Any deals on a 24" gaming monitor? Looking for 1440 but 1080 will do and it's being paired with a gtx 1050 Ti.

Just copped the Crucial MX300 SSD - 750GB for $100 earlier today

Hope my order doesn't get cancelled

Goddamn I could use a bigger SSD. I'm constantly deleting games off my 250 gb boot drive, because I don't wanna use my 1 tb hdd :{ but I want a new monitor/gpu. Damn Vega for making me wait so long

GTX 1070 still going strong.

Never gets hot. Neither does my CPU. Not even when I record gameplay for YouTube. :hat

Still some decent SSD deals but not as good as the MX300 750gb for $100, that was an absolute steal.

$100 or so for a 500gb ssd.

I dont think vega comes out til next year along with zen.

4K still is not economically viable even tho the monitors are dirt cheap, 4K monitors are even cheaper than QHD monitors for some reason.

Just got shipping confirmation for my Crucial 750GB SSD for $100

Just happened to be awake at 3AM on Thanksgiving night -- midas whale cop
