rap, the exif data is not staying in-tact for me period ..

that's the original picture I loaded and as you can see it has some misc. exif data exept everything that we look for - meaning I'm loosing itsomewhere! I checked it in my Flickr aswell and it's not there ..

what am I doing wrong?

this is definitely not the largest. Unless your camera takes pictures this small?

Unless I'm misunderstanding what he said - What I gather was that after I resize the file that will be uploaded in Flickr (Largest File) will still havethe Exif data in tact ....

^ You're correct man. Whatever original file is uploaded should retain the data. One of the reasons the exif data could be lost is through post processing,generally when you convert RAW to JPG.

RAW to JPG? that will explain the reason why as I only shoot RAW now - so don't get on my culo mang ..

.. at least I have an excuse now!

I checked my earlier work when I used to shoot in L mode and they all have the exif ..

Yeah they do.
My pictures a page back show exif now and are hosted on flickr.

That's a really good candid shot. Great isolation of the subject and the color balance and everything is spot on - which is sometimes hardindoors with mixed sources.

rizobs.. i like the original better.. it adds more to the picture... if you go with the cropped one there is too much sky imo and you should even it outbetween sky and skyline (i think someone said the same thing about someone else's pic a few pages back)

I quite like both of your shots - technically they're good but I would have included a bit more of the ground - that would just make it more balanced IMO.

Anyways, your picture is tilted - the sky looks really good, but by cropping it and giving nothing but the sky really to look at - well it's not a goodlook .. also the original picture I like better, but I find the road to clash with the view and to be distracting -- if I was you I would of have stepped overthe rails and aimed a little lower to have less sky and a little more land - it would of have even out a better and if anything focus on the middle of thepicture - the mounting ridge that separate both views of the cities ... that would of have been a better composed picture IMO.. but I'm not an expert -that;'s just stuff I would of have done ...

BTW Kick, I might be going to the Aquarium this weekend (in Coney) - I'll let you know if my girl and I makes plans instead ...

Nice shot. Any chance you can provide us with the exif data? Sorry for being anal about exif files but it really can help others analyze thetechnical side of a photo...whether to give feedback for improvement, know what a specif lens is capable of or help others learn to take similar shots.

Any must haves for the D90? I need to think of a wedding present for the fiance and I know he needs more filters and lenses. Anyone dabble in HDR?

that would of have been a good shot - I see plenty of space for you to stand and/or even set up a tripod and dont worry about the coyotes - they probably morescare of you that you are of them - but dont quote me on that one ... lol

Filters for a wedding???

Unless both the bride and the groom are photographers, you should look for something both of them could use. If you insist on getting them/her photographyequipment, get a 17-55 f/2.8 lens. I'm sure they...ehem...I mean her...will love it.
