***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I have a hard time believing that you would be cool with the government coming up with some sort of law that says this contingent of people can/cannot have kids so they need or don’t need to have a vasectomy.

That’s not what I said. I wouldn’t support that law.

But I wouldn’t be opposed to a law that says that someone couldn’t have a vasectomy at 18, for instance. Assuming that there weren’t any medical concerns or other issues.

ok, we are almost there. So if you wouldn’t support a law that regulates when a man can and cannot reproduce, why would you support a law that does the same to women?

Saying that men can’t have vasectomies at a certain age is a law that restricts when a man can and cannot reproduce. Do you know what a vasectomy is?

They really don't, it was funny seeing them trying to regulate in a thread about nothing though, literally you can post anything, nothing, something in a thread with no structure and the record scratched at when you discussed race.

What I stated about speaking IDIOT applies there, I do not do that very well.

Any time someone attempts to highlight hypocrisy, they are using the same energy as white supremacists? People just shouldn't highlight hypocrisy?

The way in which it is highlighted, in this case, is the flippant way that the white supremacists do by writing “Black Lives Matter” under certain posts about other issues.

The pro-life position I have is narrowly focused on the issue of abortion and yes it’s the exact energy to post “pro-life” under unrelated issues.

Nah I’m not going to let you dictate what I say or do. You are free to hit that report button but I don’t believe I’ve broken any of the rules in here

I’m not going to report you lol. My legs are your avy. I’d never get a break if I reported all the wild posts in here

Like I always say, do you. Doesn’t bother me

Again that’s not what you disagreed with. You disagreed with the government telling certain people of legal age when and when to not have kids. So I’ll ask again. If you wouldn’t support such a law against men, why would you support a similar law against a woman?

The laws I support are the same.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. Laws surrounding vasectomies are okay to the same extent they are okay for hysterectomies.

There aren’t laws that certain women must have hysterectomies and not have children (to my knowledge). Your hypo isn’t on point.

Ok it’s pretty clear you won’t answer a simple question so let me break it down even further. Why is it fine for the government to tell a woman when she has to have a child but it’s not fine for the government to regulate men’s reproductive rights?

You are closer to a white supremacist than anyone in this thread so this is hilarious. The lack of self awareness is astounding. Grown man crying bc your regurgitated white supremacist talking points get constantly ripped to shreds in here

I think it’s fine for the government to tell men and women at what point they can’t choose to terminate a child.

Since men can’t carry children, the government creates a post-birth obligation to care for the child for men. I don’t think men should legally be able to relinquish those obligations.

I’m black tho...

I guess you fall into that group that thinks black people can be racist. Unsurprising.

Oh ok, so you're pro-birth/anti-abortion. Pro-life and its arguments are broadly applicable to life in general.

But since men carry the seed that creates a child aren’t they effectively aborting a potential future child? Why is it fine for men to do it and not women?

Shouldn’t we be going a step further and protecting all future children?

I said I’m okay with the government restricting vasectomy rights. To the same extent they do with hysterectomy rights.

which isn’t banning them like an abortion ban would. So why is it any different?

That is unless your view point is it’s fine to have an abortion in certain terms of pregnancy
