***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Barely 9AM EST and we already got like 3 pages in the last three hours. It’s going to be litty in here (and on Twitter) today. Feel like the Kevin Garnett Game 7 pre-game speech

Game 7, man. This is it. This is all the marbles. I'm sittin in the house, I'm loadin' up the pump. I'm loadin' up the Uzi, I got a couple M-16s, couple nines, got a couple joints with some silencers on 'em, I'm just loadin up clips. Got a couple grenades, couple missile launchers, with, you know, a couple missiles. I'm ready for war.

In retrospect it’s ironic that quote reads like it came from an insurrectionist’s Parler account on January 5th

Whenever I hear Trump talking about setting records with 74 million votes. "Most by any sitting president."

If you want to set the record straight, let’s set the record straight.
I also supported President Obama twice.
Supported” twice not “voted for twice.”

It’s a significant distinction for you under any other circumstance.
I thought consistency was your thing - until it wasn’t.

It is also the candidate that I no longer support. And I acknowledged the mistake of that support.
You did not rescind your support after Charlottesville, after his violent, disastrous response to this summer’s protests, after he disrespected the late John Lewis or Elijah Cummings, or after his negligence annihilated the economy and irrevocably fractured thousands of American families.

You only considered it a “mistake” after he lost.
That was the catalyst.

And I supported the Dems flipping the Senate.
You did so in the runoff election - NOT the 2020 General Election. At that time, you supported Republicans holding the Senate. You “supported” a Democratic Senate at a time when you could no longer vote for it.

If only we could dispense with the four years of terror, carnage, and suffering this most loathsome President wrought as quickly as you tossed out your MAGA hat.

Unfortunately, we can’t. Women, who came to this country to escape violence and persecution, have been sterilized against their will. Families have lost loved ones to state violence, White Supremacist terror, and preventable disease. Myriad others have lost their homes and livelihoods.

They don’t get a “do over.”

That “exciting tomorrow” you largely opposed will be denied to those who, through the manifest selfishness of people like you, did not live to see it. The hopeful future they worked for, but will never experience, is now your undeserved privilege.

Live with it.

Who cares about those people? So you’re saying you’re ok based on a flawed relative scale?

From now on You’re here for 2 things. Making fries and shutting the **** up

I was challenging the fact that I couldn’t support him any longer. Because many people do. I’m just not one of them.

Also, I think you are under the false impression that I am here seeking your approval.

It doesn’t matter, to me, whether you think I’m “ok” or not.

I used “supported” for both candidates. That is consistent.

As it relates to the rest of your post, I acknowledged my mistake with supporting Trump.

And I do “live with” the Kermit bent over spreading his cheeks memes. And the other responses/consequences that come with that mistaken support.

If you choose to look backwards, that’s fine.

Like President Biden has mentioned, I think it is important to look forward to the next four years. And to scale back the divisive rhetoric.

But that’s just what I think. Obviously people can make their own choices.

What exactly would you be supporting at this moment? His casinos? His failed businesses? Of course you don’t support him there’s nothing to support I don’t think you’re getting that simple fact. And what approval are you even talking about? I’m not here to have a debate or discussion with you. I’m treating you like a bum on the street whose taking a dump in the corner. I’m not here to talk, I’m just here to point and laugh. You are known as a fry lawyer, a complete joke and laughing stock. What respect should I be giving you?

The problem I have with this statement is that you were all for your boy and his cronies’ divisive rhetoric over the last four years if it meant *checks notes* passing the first step act, hbcu funding, tax breaks for your rental property and loan programs you could take advantage of. FOH.
