So after getting a vote to have witnesses, they've decided now not to have witnesses and instead to admit the statement from Rep Beutler and that's it. What a waste of time.

I’m frustrated but there was no point anyway - they weren’t going to swing another 10+ votes. They could have video of him molesting kids and they would deny he did anything wrong.

I can rationalize it but it is incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Even if it wasn't practical to impeach Trump, you still go for it all the way.
Maybe the administration expressed some desire to move on from impeachment so that they could work on Biden's agenda. But today still feels like a betrayal.
