This ain’t it
Rose Twitter will still hate her for “stabbing Bernie in the back” and spew their typical nonsense.
That situation was peak entitlement

Warren and Bernie had the situation about their meeting. The Bernie aligned left all jumped on Warren, the snake emojis started

Then when it looks like Bernie might win they started with the bend the knee

When it looks like Bernie was gonna get washed they demanded she endorses him.

If I were Liz I would have held a presser and tell all those entitled and sexist fools to kiss my ***

All while being dressed in a snakeskin pant suit

Yea, basically this. I think it’ll be more than some, plus throw in the underlying sexism that was fueling the hate anyways.

What I saw was not so much sexism. It appeared like she was in the primary, not to win but to harm Bernie as much as possible. The snake emojis appeared after she accused Bernie of sexism in the January debate. Later on she stayed in after the rest of the field dropped out to help Biden. Now ultimately when she did drop out, here supporters slip pretty evenly so she wasn’t really harming Bernie by staying in through Super Tuesday.

Who knows what Bernie and Liz said in private but most Bernie supporters wanted her to run in 2016, we really liked her after 2016 and wanted her to run in 2020 if Bernie didn’t so it’s not like we saw Warren, saw that she was a women and refused to support her.

There’s still bad blood but best cure for it is winning a shared goal. She and Bernie want a lot of student debt relief and if it gets done, I hope that we can put the ugliness of 2020 behind us.

Thankfully, your candidate is not that fragile. Let’s get this student debt wiped out.

This is what I been saying about Abbott on here. In my opinion this dude is more dangerous than Trump. Snake oil salesman. He’s gonna make a run at president.

“I’m anxious to see how our governor, in particular, will respond to this crisis, because I have never witnessed a more cowardly politician. When Abbott faces a challenge—and he has faced several in the past year alone—you can always depend on him to take the shape of water, forever finding the path of least resistance. I have no idea why the man became a politician, as I can discern no animating motive behind his acts beyond just staying in office.”

I have mixed feelings about just forgiving people 50k in loans. That’s way too much and people should know what they were getting into when they got into them. I know student loans are fed to students as if it’s an end all benefit because you’ll get a good job after and do feel duped. I’ve had close to 70k in student loans through my BA and MBA.

Now it 50k is the route they want to go they need to look at it at a phase out basis both based on the income of the individuals and how long out of school people have been. Now for someone who’s been out of school for say 15-20 years I’m cool with a larger forgiveness. But someone who is fresh out of school to just have 50k forgiven just like that, that ain’t it, it just leads to more self entitlement. I’m pretty liberal about a lot of stuff but this needs to be done in a smart way and can’t be rushed. Mostly because this could lead to massive inflation because it would boost spending immensely almost immediately and it could lead to a bubble again.

Only black people voted for Joe Biden. Those who didn’t vote for Biden either were not black and if you were black and did not vote for Joe Biden you ceased to be black.

So after the primaries, Rusty, you became white like me since you didn’t vote for Biden too. But luckily November came around and all of us voted for Biden so now we’re all black.

DWalk voted for Trump but says he now supports Biden so the jury is out in his status.

I said that your favored candidate is NOT petty and vindictive and I looked forward to what great things she might get done in 2021.

Look, you say that because Biden got black people to vote for him that my criticizing him and his ****** policies is an act of white supremacy, that is petty, vindictive and nonsensical.

You are clearly implying here that my comment about telling off entitled Bernie supporters would have been a move that showed fragility.

That was the only part regarding actions Warren could/should have taken was that part.

Look, you say that because Biden got black people to vote for him that my criticizing him and his ****ty policies is an act of white supremacy, that is petty, vindictive and nonsensical.

You are lying and making things up to play the victim

Spare me

I feel similarly.

I wish instead of "student loan forgiveness" we created and improved "loan repayment programs" that would include things like interest-free loans, grants to pay off loans, expanded tax benefits for loans, etc. and also something to address future increases in tuition and to expand need-blind admissions and need-based aid.

A one-time forgiveness plan only addresses part of the problem.

That said, there are others who are more invested in this issue and more knowledgeable, so ultimately I'll trust them to come up with the optimal solution. But it should be based on what'll benefit people the most, correct for economic (and other) inequities, and open up opportunities and not what gets the most reflexive likes on twitter.

A one-time forgiveness doesn't really seem to fix much.

The fact that the student loan interest deduction is capped at 2,500 a year is laughable

This I do agree with because it basically means it’s for 30k in loans or less. There needs to be more reform. To education as a whole to bring costs of tuition down. Honestly, I ending the ncaa for what it is and stopping universities from being the minors leagues from professional sports would be a start. It would force schools to focus on their core competency, churning out smart graduates ready for the workforce. Not college basketball fans who just went there because they way to attend those games.

But flat out 50k forgiveness across the board, hell no, then you need to give some sort of credits to people who were able to pay them off and were under a certain income threshold retroactively.

You consider anyone who pushes back to be fragile. By that metric, Liz Warren isn’t fragile, since she passed on your fantasy of telling off Bernie Voters. It’s also telling about that your political fantasy isn't that she won and made people’s lives better, what you wanted to happen was her putting Bernie supporters in their place, as you imagine it.

Meanwhile, I wanted my candidate to win and make other people’s lives better. Including people who didn’t vote for my candidate.
