This whole hardworking, everyday man, Texas stereotype thing is such a joke. There’s nothing tough or hardworking about these dorks, yet small town people that do have to work hard every single day suck this nonsense up.

Dan Patrick wasn’t even born Dan Patrick, his real name is Dannie Goeb... and he was born in Maryland!!! Yet he has this whole southern boy rancher bit he fronts with.

Don’t get me started on Ted Cruz... nobody on this planet would consider Ted Cruz tough.

I did enjoy earlier this week when Seth Meyers showed a photo of Paul Rudd and said that he’s 2 years older than Ted. I know it’s an extreme example but Cruz is not someone I would want to emulate.

The very moment you become a politician. Hell, your first priority is win, so you can atleast entertain the idea of "caring".
Politicians by default regardless of political views look down on people. Even if it’s “I want to help them” you got to believe you’re special and can help people. Then you can go deeper and have to ask “What if people don’t want help?” A politicians answer is by default “Well I know what people need better than them” and that right there is the false sense of superiority that they all have. Almost all politicians are ego tripping and if they don’t I don’t expect them to last long because most people have been conditioned to see ego tripping politicians as leaders.

Then don’t even get me started on the staff around them who are sycophants and the adulation and cheers they get from crowds at public events.

The most damaging perception about politics that has been sold to the American people (and really, people the world over) is that politics should be simple. That's why the moment you, as an individual informed about all the possible ramifications of policies, start delving into those complex topics, low-info people try to shoot down those issues as "MSM talking points" and pivot back to the "common sense" BS.

These politicians understand that people want simple solutions to complex problems, and they'll vote for the person who will suggest such solutions.
The thing is, they are never supposed to buy the BS they are selling, but when entire generations grow up with the belief that politics is simple and no one ever challenges that idea, they end up voting for simpletons like those GA and CO Qongresswomen.

Manchin's *** still outchea power tripping

As for the filibuster, Mr. ****s, who was sworn in alongside Mr. Manchin in 2010, said liberals shouldn’t get their hopes up.

Recalling a conversation with somebody who knows Mr. Manchin well, Mr. ****s said this person told him: “If the ghost of Robert Byrd came back to life and said the future of West Virginia itself is on the line he might … think about it.”

I know it gotta be a country out there where the politics mostly represent things that make sense and ppl vote for things that represent progress and making life easier...Just gotta find that place

The only place I could immediately think of is Canada, but they've got their own issues as well.

You mean these "ex-pats" didn't even bother to get a citizenship? I hate the rebranding and romanticizing of white immigration so much.

oh yes indeed...say that, my guy.

this is my whole thing...no such thing as a perfect place to live, but there's GOTTA BE a better damn deal than what the US can offer.
