This. My former niece, now cousin, came out as transgender a few years ago. It took some time to get used to saying him instead of her but it's not like it was some bothersome task.
Whatever pronoun someone prefers is what I'll use, it's very simple. I might not always really understand, for example a Mortal Kombat player I know wishes to be addressed as 'they/their', but that's their preference so I don't see why I should care.
