The saddest part of Obama's presidency is that he only had a functional Congress for a very short time. In practice the super-majority was only in effect for a handful of days, even then there we're still moderates in the Senate ******* things up, and the GOP never offered bipartisanship.
Our country and economy would have been so much better if he had a Congress willing to work with him, and his presidency really would have lived up to some of hopes people had for in in 2008
If it wasn't for Trump, some might look back and wonder was the GOP that was the issue, or was it Obama? The answer is clear now. Clear not only to liberals, but all moderates, a few conservatives, and most importantly to future generations. It was the GOP, the GOP was the problem.
The GOP's petulance, indulgence in bigotry, cozying up to white nationalism, and diet racism is on display for everyone to see. That is probably the thing the GOP hates most about Trump, not his fascist rhetoric or his bragging about sexually assault. It is that he refuses to use dog whistles, and as a result, is exposing the GOP for what they truly are.
