So I been thinking about Desantis and while I agree his national prospects are dim, it kind of blunts the edge of the overuse of state power he is getting away with. The federal government should step in and tell him fall back, but they won’t because the last thing they want to do is set a trial to the Supreme Court where this bigotted ******* could be codified as constitutionally protected. In a lot of ways I worry about how long we have until one of these southern Governors just say **** it and tries to re-establish Jim Crow?

That’s my concern with Desantis. I live in NYC but I’ve learned these crap laws have reverberations that can affect my life up here. He’s showing Govenors they can do anything they want because the SC and Congressional Republicans have the Federal Government sitting on their hands.
