Bro I hate those choices but yes I’m going to hold my nose and vote for Biden because Trump was the worst god damn president of my 40 year life and he is using bird whistles from mein kampf and his associates have formed a organization designed to cripple the executive branch of the government and fill it with Trump’s incompetent Lackeys and punish the rest of us for existing. It literally sounds like the Republicans want to import what is happening in Palestine on anyone that isn’t like them here.
So this **** sucks, it sucks beyond words, but if you for one second think it would not find a way to be significantly worst with Trump as President I don’t know what to tell you.

If I were a Democrat and I fought to give people stimulus checks when Trump's main concern was handing out over a trillion dollars to my big business buddies, and he only embraced it when someone told him it might him his chance at reelection; and I heard anyone using that as a reason to Trump him I would be heated

Yeah, I heard a bunch of bad takes on stimmy checks from adults. Sometimes when I explain something to my friends they get angry because they feel like it should be the other way.
It is kinda wild how Trump gets a positive sentiment from him agreeing to the Dems stimulus demands
But Biden got negative sentiment when he gave everyone (that qualified before) an additional $1400. Which we know now was probably a bad idea economically.

People are mad about the economy. The specific thing they are mad about can only be reversed with a recession. No recession is coming so they remain upset. But if a recession comes, they will be more upset.
Folk gotta come to terms with the fact prices aren't going back down to 2019 levels

I think there's two related problems as well.
One is how Americans perceive the role of politics in the economy. The last 40 years of not just politics but pop culture and social norms tells people that wages/income are not a political matter, but the government is still seen as having a very important role in helping consumers. So wages go up in the bottom and middle of the distribution and that plays some role in price in increases and a lot of low info voter think that they either got lucky or hustled harder and that's why they have more money now but unfortunately at around the same time, Joe Biden let prices go up.
Two is that the left and him should have much better relationship. He's disciplining all those suburban republicans and their NIMBY centrist Dems neighbors and forcing the upper middle to come to terms with the fact that if you want people to deliver your food and drive you around or even wait on you in a restaurant, that's gonna cost more because we have an aging population and full employment and the upper middle class can easily spare the extra money or do without having rent a servants. In fact this whole thing is worldly historically important, the capital stock and technology must grow a lot in order to get us to a place where socialism is truly viable. That process is slowed down by a political economy where the affluent see high rents and servants has a birthright, the hierarchical nature is bad enough but it also slows the growth of technology and capitalism. A super majority of self described leftists will vote for him but if the rate were 90% +, beating Trump becomes more likely.
But, there's Gaza, whatever one may think of Biden, the US, and its relationship to Israel, the very real perception among a lot of leftists is that Biden is basically a mass murderer (like at the level that non socialists see Stalin or Mao) and if we, personally found ourselves trapped like the people of Gaza, he'd be accommodating to whoever wants to exterminate us. I've even seen maps circulating in my DSA Slack showing maps of potential "special zones" on US soil in 2040, 2050 or so where the US would basically Gaza (it's becoming a verb in some circles) entire communities that are no longer useful for the ruling elite. Basically, restrict domestical travel severely for certain communities and only let them out on easily revokable work Visas. If the climate crisis causes crops to become non viable, or the rare minerals are all mined out, then the nearby elites will declare every in that zone to be a terrorist or terrorist sympathizers and cut off their water.
So, there is a sincere believe that supporting Palestine is a matter of life and death for their future selves and descendants. The belief is that open air prisons must be defeated once and for all now or else they will become the norm under deteriorating. In short, it's a crime against humanity and GDP and wage data seem kinda trivial juxtaposed to something of such moral and existential important.
All, that said, Joe Biden has an electoral ace in the hole, Donald Trump will be his opponent.

He's in a weird spot because he's delivered very real things to every single major Democratic Constituency, in terms of policy, he's governored to the left of Obama and yet he's pretty unpopular.
I'd advise him to have unifying message which is not just that Trump is a big existential threat (some constituencies as a cynical attempt to frighten and disciple them into submission) but also add that Trump threatens everything that every constituency got, be vague about it and quietly follow up by sending surrogates to talk to every left of center media outlet and have a targeted message, take those clips and turn them into digital fodder for micro targeted campaign adds later this year.
Biden's main issue is that he could call a press conference to point out how he's helped x, y, z group but if he would alienate group x by looking like he's too favorable to group y, and z.
So I think just quietly drafting off of the negative polarization that Trump greatest and then doing secondary micro targeted campaigns to drive home how he's genuinely governed with most major constituencies combined.
