***Official Political Discussion Thread***

The internal "Donald J. Trump Administrative Update," from co-campaign manager Susie Wiles, outlines post-election plans. It uses the phrases "should we be victorious," "regardless of the outcome of the election" and "God willing" — acknowledging that the race may or may not turn out in Trump's favor.

The matter-of-fact email comes as the Trump campaign is publicly projecting confidence, and promoting any polls that show Trump defeating Vice President Harris handily.

Oh lord.
That is your complaint? How hard Kamala worked compared to Trump?
Key words in that post
"It absolutely enrages him that Kamala isn’t……that he feels like Kamala isn’t even working."

You are really getting your day started with some negative energy over something definitely not worth your energy.
Pick something substantial.

Eff his feelings. Yours too.

We deal in reality over here, bud. Kamala is younger, smarter, better looking, more energetic, harder working, and has ran a masterful campaign. And while I don’t have first hand knowledge, I would bet my whole net worth that she smells better, too.

True, BUT!

A lot of folks are willing to bring the stupidity/racism/demagoguery he brings in exchange for perceived economic benefits. This is why the only argument that can make those folks second guess their decision to vote for him is to highlight the negative economic consequences of his past (and proposed) policies:

talk about what the repeal of the CHIPS Act would do for American independence in a world that relies on microelectronic chips;
talk about the soybean farmer debacle that resulted from his tarrifs;
talk about the PPP loan wealth transfer from bottom to top;
talk about the increased CoL that would result from his proposed tarrifs;
talk about how replacing income taxes with VAT and would increase everyday spending for the average American.

He has so many insane ideas that are only designed to benefit the top 0.1%. They are the only section of American society that would benefit from the economic decline that his policies would bring about because they have the means to shield themselves from government dysfunction.

Internal contradictions are supposed to exist within hierarchical social systems, NOT within your own campaign platforms.

Trump gets universal support from car dealership owners, so he has Elon Musk as a major surrogate and future economic advisor. Elon Musk is trying to put dealership owners out of business through direct online sales of EVs.

Elon Musk has promised IMF style Austerity, which even he admits will cause hardship. This will basically harm almost everyone economically, including most wealthy people.

Trump is also trying to do Peronist import substitution in a country where the majority of employees are in some of sort of service or logistics sectors.

Many of those sectors have an international presence. So most Americans lose twice. They get higher prices of consumer goods. But instead getting more jobs and higher wages in exchange, they are now less likely to be employed.

Logistics workers would really be slammed. moreover, the mineral extraction section would be crushed with far fewer opportunities for exports due to retaliatory tarrifs. In other words, some of the highest earning blue collar, non college, male workers and small businessmen will be seriously harmed by these tariffs.

Mike Johnson wants to get rid of the ACA, including the individual marketplace place. Which means that MAGAs who are self employed are now much more likely to have to become employees in order to have health insurance. MAGAs hate HR and getting rid of the ACA makes them more likely to be subject to an HR department.

if you vote for Trump is in 2024, you either are ignorant about the economic devastation he’d bring OR you see it as an acceptable burden to bear if it means destroying or subjugating others.

Anyone voting for trump is intellectually and/or morally bankrupt. Full stop. No exceptions.
Why do yall keep painting people in these black and white terms? People are allowed to vote for whomever they desire. I dont see how labeling supporters with these bombastic terms is any any way acceptable.

If you are disgusted by the limits of the two-party system. Vote for De LA Cruz, if you’re in a safe state.

Be sure to also participate in the voter exchange which swaps protest votes in safe States with Harris votes in swing State and vice verse.

If you know anyone in a swing State, who wants to do a protest vote as a critique of American Empire, be sure to get them signed up today!

You're voting for Jill Stein though.
Your point being? It was either her or i sit out the election. Regardless, I'm not a fan of Trump or Kamala but I'm not about to label the supporters as morally bankrupt or some other BS like that. I respect everyone's choice. I just don't see how this kind of rhetoric should be tolerated

You sound like a 6year old right now.

This girl's case has been mentioned a lot the last few days but what doesn't get mentioned in the headlines is that her and her mom were both staunchly against abortion based on their "faith". I'm definitely not happy it happened and this is going to sound cold but at some point, people may have to face the consequences of their beliefs and actions.

Sounds like she wasn't seeking an abortion itself but the complications she was having made termination likely and the doctors/hospitals were rightly concerned about catching a murder charge so they didn't treat her because of how murky the laws are.

We've been saying this for years that this could happen and unfortunately, this girl and her family got the worst of it.
