Obama has been a decent president and cleaned up most of the mess Bush created for our economy and foreign relations
He's not "perfect" but he has done alright given the situations our country has been in the past 8 years.
I think he did a great job with the opposition he faced by Republicans. If he would've had a government willing to work with him, he could've had so much more work done
And Obama is a very charismatic leader who is known to be levelheaded when it comes to the nation's issues

I can't say the same about the two candidates in this election.

Hillary isn't level-headed?

We need a system like Canada

You are never getting a Canada style system IMO. Insurance industry is too big and monied to be dismantled at this point.

Sweden or Germany..I can't remeber has a similar system to Obamacare and they make it work. Obamacare can be fixed, the fixes are obvious and well known it's about finding the political will.

As the great E40 said "Yup."

It's funny because Obama was determined to reduce the number of uninsured but he did so in the most conservative manner possible.

In 2006 and 2007, libertarians and conservatives were touting a market based exchange system with guaranteed acceptance for all applicants combined with an individual mandate. It was praised as a market based system that would emphasize individual responsibility.

A few years later, those same conservative think tanks called there own plan a communist take over of a hitherto flawless healthcare system. As soon as the black, Muslim userper's name got attached to a set of moderate conservative ideas, those moderate conservatives disavowed their own plan.

I'm with you, we need to just go full on Canada style. We Drake is crying in the shower and slips and gets a concussion, his healthcare is free.

With the Obamacare system Obama only had to fight the Republicans, but a single payer Canada style system? He would have been fighting Republicans AND the insurance industry.

Obamacare can be fixed, bring back the public option or add a stronger individual mandate and you should be good to go.

Da Donald recently had high praise for Sweden, Norway and Denmark's healthcare system in his Gettysburg speech
Thought that was odd coming from him, his crowd ate it up and cheered too :lol

Feel like the "End of Days" is coming..
Coming? They are here! lolololol It is the end of the road for white supremacy, white patriarchal rule as we know it. The rise of what they are calling radical Islam, adversaries developing nukes, the USA no longer being near the top in production, finance and education, brexit, the end of times for white patriarchal supremacy is here. The war is not physical, which is something that white patriarchal rule was not prepared for, and that is because they have no spiritual foundation to speak of. All they have, they made up. Their house was built upon sand, so the white american wants to close down the borders to everyone who is not white, and european. This is Trump's facination with Russia and Putin, who is the last White leader who can wield any power. When Trump said that Putin has no respect for President Obama, nor Hillary Clinton, he was really saying that Putin has no respect for black people and women. The right wing mistakenly tried to hitch their wagon to Netanyahu, who they invited to speak to congress without permission from the White House. White republicans under the leadership of John Boehner, who later quit his position as apeaker of the house after the Catholic Pope hit him in the head with the golden rule during his visit, did everything they could to disrespect the President. Why didn't the White right wingers side up with the Pope against Obama? Because there was a time in this country the Catholics were not trusted either. The end of times is here. But those who know, it really isn't a bad thing for people who had to struggle anyway. Funny thing is, suicide rates among a certain segment of americans are at an all time high, while others are at an all time low. They know.

I agree, the GOP started hating a ton of things the once they were embraced by the secret Muslim.

But I believe that they have no problem with the marketplace or the even mandate, it is just part of their political strategy to vilify the entire thing. Especially since Obama's name is attached

I think their real problem with the law are some of the regulations and taxes, especially the preexisting conditions and minimum coverage.

Carlos Danger is right, every member of the GOP is a walking subsidiary of the insurance industry. The GOP would be prefect fine the ACA had no minimum coverage requirements and companies could refuse service. That way people could be forced to buy ****** plans, that cover little to nothing if someone got sick. They would love it could just be a full on wealth transfer system to the industry. Instead of a half way wealth transfer system, that also tries to help the poor as well. **** that

With the Obamacare system Obama only had to fight the Republicans, but a single payer Canada style system? He would have been fighting Republicans AND the insurance industry.

Nah, the insurance companies hate many parts of the ACA. They pretty much bought off Libermann to kill the public option

But I agree, it would be a much bigger fight.

It is not only insurance companies. The health care industry is going to throw a fit too.

And we pay more here for the same types of facilities and unless you are on a great insurance you get worse coverage yet you end up paying a decent amount as well. At least with a universal healthcare system we would have pricing power over big pharma. Tell them you can either loser potentially 300 million customers or give us the same prices that the rest of the developed world pays. Not 2-even 10x over.

I don't know where you live, but I'm pretty satisfied with the facilities and the line ups.

My brother who managed to survive cancer also seems pretty cool with everything. Sooo... *shrugs*

also more people having access to health care means more waiting, it's inescapable. So it's either you want more people to have health insurance or you don't.
