This won't affect how Portland plays out at all, though the domestic terrorism needs to result in the perp getting federal time.
But the Vancouver box burning could legitimately tilt the Congressional race between Glusenkamp-Perez and Maga Kent. Hopefully the folks in Vancouver get new ballots or vote in person on the 5th, because 1 vote could literally decide that race and potentially control of the House.

I’ve never seen an instance of a major party holding a rally quite like his this one (and I’m including Trump’s previous two campaigns). They were threatening and taunting everyone who doesn’t want to vote for them and they might have alienated key swing voters who wanted to vote for them. Truly bizarre behavior.
It’s also baffling because Trump had and still has a chance by sticking with his main strategy. Trump has built a coalition of people who support him because he’s racist and those who will convince themselves that he’s not racist but he will, some how, make gas $2.00/gallon.
This rally won’t sink Trump’s campaign but maybe, just maybe enough of the cheap gasoline voters might get sufficiently uncomfortable with Trump’s campaign and its Nuremberg style at MSG, that they switch to Harris or simply not vote.
Again, most POC, who support Trump by this point, will stick with him but if 100,000 Puerto Ricans in PA and FL change their votes, that rally could be retroactively looked at the clincher for Harris’ election bid.
