***Official Political Discussion Thread***

After seeing the rest of Tony's set, it's even more pathetic to use the "it's just jokes" defense.

He chose his jokes very carefully to align entirely with Donald Trumps political agenda. His racists jokes only came at the expense MAGA approved targets.

the set was meant to serve a political purpose first and comedy second.
Don't cry comedy when it backfires. if you wanna tell some zingers at the Klan rally you gotta stand on that.

She has to get it by now that he doesn’t want her campaigning for him. He ****s on her at every opportunity.

I actually think this is right.

But the timing of it makes it look like Jeff is doing this to appeal to a potential authoritarian.

do it after the election, or way before. but doing now looks insnae.

Don't be a ******* dupe, man.

It's Jeff Bezos, for ****'s sake.

im not saying i believe him, i don't, i think he's just currying favour with trump.

but I also do think that newspaper presidential endorsements are a giant waste of time that if I ran a news paper I wouldn't do them.

don’t most news like to give the illusion they are non partisan anyways?

We know they are beholden to their sponsors most times but they like to play the game still.

There’s no illusion to anyone who knows your content. That’s what’s so f’in stupid. You deride Trump daily but won’t endorse his opponent? You fell even further down the trust scale, Jeffe

It’s just a silly thing to be mad about to me. The only thing he endorses is guap, I don’t get why anyone would expect anything different out of any billionaire or corporation. They only have morals when it makes them money like Whole Foods flying a rainbow flag during pride month.

This non endorsement thing ended up being a net positive for Kam so I’m good with it. I cancelled my Washington Post subscription as well.

I’m disappointed with Bezos, but the Post has been one of the few occasionally bright spots in real investigative journalism in the last five years.

I’m keeping the subscription, but the independence of editorial is certainly much more in question.

I agree with you on national elections, but with local elections that don’t follow the r vs d format, they can be useful.

Or at least they used to be…
