I'm cautiously optimistic about the Harris/Walz ticket. But ive lost even more faith in the American public and our engagement. If theres some thing that I've learned this election cycle is that as a whole, Americans are majorly lacking a true understanding of civics and the function of government and bare minimum critical discernment ability. Emphasis on the critical discernment portion. I didn't realize how much of an elite skill being able to suss information out for truth is. You don't have to be an expert in any given topic to be able to critically engage with it, but people really can't seem to apply that to politics. And bad actors 100% capitalize on it.

Yeah I'm usually laid back in the politics department but nothing triggers me more than outsiders chastising us and telling us what we need to be doing. I'm sure that wasn't homie's intent to come off that way but it got me.

Busy doing WHAT? No one is that busy that’s exactly the problem. We are no busier than those who voted 50,60,70,80+ years ago. Those are excuses. People are just lazy.

I turned 18 in 2006. Voted that fall for local elections, and the presidential elections of 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020, and this year.

If you’re “to busy” to educate yourself, you should not be voting in the blind. That’s ludicrous
