***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Philly and Pittsburgh haven’t been counted yet, Trump is running out of PA voters.
I understand that, but I still expected a more decisive victory. However, as you mentioned, most of the population is concentrated in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, where support leans strongly toward Harris.

I remember when trump won last time some girl in my history class started to cry and then my history professor cried too 😂

Lecture was canceled and instead we discussed what the future of America will be like.

This was for medieval European history lol
How is this funny? Millions of people died under his administration for how Covid was handled. People don't believe in science and factual evidence, but full heartedly pledged their blind faith to the pyscho. Many more marginalized minorities were targeted because of his open bigotry and we also saw an insurrection happen on our capital that led to more pointless deaths.

the west not looking good along with PA, GA, VA, and NC

You can mark CA, OR, WA in ink for Kamala.

I think if white women don't show for Kamala, and she really is losing Latino voters, and black men.

Democrats will have reevaluate how effective abortion is as an electoral strategy.

If focusing on abortion loses you black and Latino votes and white women.

the math doesn't work, in presidential politics.

This is straight BS. Kamala has comprehensive policy and specifics on the economy, healthcare, reproduce rights, and much more with specifics. She's articulated it and you can find it very easily, just look. The same BS they tried to pull with Hilary.

The Republicans ain't running on policy, they're running on fear of the other above all. That's the party is in the Trump era.
I know what her policy is, what I'm trying to convey is their messaging on this policy was second to "Trump is bad".

The average person is not going to do their research and dig deep into policy. What they are going to do is remember the few things the candidates/party iterate on over and over and over again.

Republicans did this very well with the migrants/border and inflation. The Democrats did not. Their messaging was so broad and what they focused the most on was how bad Trump is, not the policy they believe in.

This is a known issue with the Dems. They are horrendous with messaging

Stop being so dramatic! Dude told a funny story. Nothing more, nothing less

After watching the news, I’m increasingly convinced that many Trump supporters may not prioritize reading detailed articles (uneducated); they likely rely more on what they hear directly. Although I did hear Kamala speak a few times, her messages didn’t seem impactful enough to sway opinions significantly.

I think it's being undervalued how much the Israel-Palestine situation impacted this election for democrats. A lot of extreme liberals chose to sit out this election due to not wanting to pick either side knowing they'd continue to fund Israel. Then you have the Muslim population that largely also skipped the election completely rather than vote for a pro-Israel candidate.

serious question but was biden that bad as president or is the US not ready for a woman president
