The issue with latinos is gay/trans issues. They dont support them.
They also dont care about abortion.

Add to that patriarchal societies we come from and you get a republican voter

It is what is

America in general cant look down at other countries for electing crazy corrupt dictators since we just reelected one tonite.

for a long time the idea was there was no cost to moving to the left culturally

there was no cost to moving to the left on policy.

people thought "demographics are destiny" and dems could just make it up with black and latino voters.

people pushed this delusion,

and now dems are losing moderate black and latino voters and not making it up with white people.

even if by some miracle she pulls this out.

Dems have to finally be real about the electorate.
as the black vote is less connected to the black church, and as Latino voters become more comfortable with the republican party.

It's just way too narrow a path, to be the party of college educated white suburbanites attached to a declining black voter base.
They just need to run a non boring white man and half the pearl clutching goes away with all this moving to the left

Lazy analysis? Sure. Probably as lazy as the process a large amount of people used to vote this election

IMO getting into the minutia of what the Dems could have or should have did is to lose sight of the forest for the trees.

These people are bigots and flaming racists and this country has a ton of people who support that ideology. That's the story here.

you can say this if you want, but Trump is doing better with blacks, Latinos, he's gonna do better with black voters than any republican since like Nixon.

doing the american is so racist thing is just mega cope.

This is what I don't like.. black men gotta be the most hated group of people in America... Literally millions of whites and Latinos just voted for Trump but it's black men's fault?

Lol and Dems wonder why brothers continue to stray further and further from the party. Black men are simple, give us good candidates and we'll vote. It's literally that simple. I voted for her, but let's be real Kamala was a terrible candidate iirc. Everytime I asked folks why black men should vote for Harris over Trump and the only reason they found give was bu bu but she's not racist like Trump.. like c'mon fam he racist Boogeyman narrative isn't working on anyone in 2024. Y'all already told us in 2016 that it was gonna be the end of black civilization if Trump got elected and that didn't happen. Hopefully in 2028 they give us candidates who actually have a plan to improve the black experience instead of just telling us the other side is racist and shaming black men for not supporting candidates they have no faith in. Also it's evident that Democrats have no idea how to appeal to black voters anymore... Throwing rappers on stage to perform isn't gonna get us to get us to vote. Black people are tired bro. Give us something worth voting for and our vote is yours. Hopefully this is the wake up call the Dems need, opening your campaign trail with Meg the stallion and sexy red is not how you secure the black vote.

ya PA really does matter and make a difference... lets see what happens

Voters really irked by Biden, it seems
All the exit polls paint that picture, why it'll feel like such a gut punch if things play out this way after all the hype and energy when he first dropped out.

Most of that was built on the premise that she'd offer a bolder vision and running mainly on traditional Dem strengths rather than trying to fight Republicans on issues on their home turf by taking even harder lines than them.

Whether it was out of respect for him or misguided pragmatism, it gave way to the GOP controlling the narrative and framing on so many key issues and having to play catch up constantly

imo if this were true Sherrod Brown, or Jon Tester would have won.

Honestly just think folks are mad at Biden/Harris for inflation/gas prices/grocery prices and just want to vote for someone else even if that person has no real plan (and is a racist/misogynist/felon/etc).

I think so to. I feel like a lot of people’s biggest concern is strictly economic and they need someone to point the finger to for the inflation.

He has no economic plan besides tarriffs but because he's been labeled a business man for God knows how long it doesn't matter.
Just wait for the promised mass deportations and tariffs to start

All these non-millionaires harping about the economy being being in better hands will get a painful reality check in short order...

It's not cope at all.

to dwindle what I'm saying to it simply being about racism would be missing the point a bit. He is a racist, that undoubtedly plays a part in those who support him. That's part of the story.

But Let me put it this way: EYE don't think blacks latinos, really anyone who's voting for trump are doing so because they believe in his plans and policies. He spins surface level platitudes about immigration and horrific tariff plans and that's really it. They're voting for him because he's a superstar who's combination of charisma, racism, and toxic masculinity works in this country

So for me, given where this country has gone since 2016...anything less than a Obama level superstar was going to be a Trump win.
