***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Now, I wonder if they would have been made available if the outcome were different. 🤔 (Probably not but we understand why).
Dude they're talking about abolishing the department of education.

Y'all really underestimate what's about to happen, especially to intellectuals. Oh, if you teach, you also have a target on your back.

Rogan wasn’t going to give Kamala a fair shake. He’s IN ON IT. The flagrant guys and Andrew Shulz are in on it as well. The Joe Rogan podcast network is an extension of the Trump campaign overall. It’s like Kamala going on modern day Rush Limbaugh, or Tucker Carlson.

Did he give Bernie Sanders a fair shake?

What about John Fetterman?

This is insane, we have to stop doing this, Joe Rogan doesn't do tough interviews.

he is the most popular podcaster in the world. He's listened to by moderate, liberal and conservative people.

Ignoring these audiences is insanity.

A pretty solid trio of picks

I’d pair student loan cancellation with a promise to make employers drop college degree requirements wherever practicable.

You don’t need a degree for many white collar jobs and there’s smart people out there without college degrees and quite frankly they are discriminated against by most employers.

Dems are so captured by the interests of college educated women.

After losing an election where they crushed with non college educated men, black men, Latino men over inflation.

They have the nerve to suggest an inflationary policy that only benifits college educated and disproportionately benifits women.this is crazy.

Not sure what that has to do with my post. But yes, WE know what he has said about the Department of Education.

But I don't think them offering services TO STUDENTS was based on that at all.

And quite frankly I don't think that was the case for teachers either.

I think they were just giving people a place to grieve.

If we learned anything, people hate inflation

And child tax credits, infrastructure bills, student debt forgiveness,

Won't make them feel better about it.

Oh, I posted that because of how absurd it was, not because I agree with it.

They’ve cut off their nose off to spite their face. And now with Gallant out of the picture and Trump on his way to the White House….good luck.

He's also listened to by black folks. If I'm nit mistaken, He has the largest black fanbase of any podcast. Not sure how much it would have helped her but her not doing it might not have been the best choice. Big What If.

What you also do…

-Offer a 4 year tax credit for all Americans who did not get their 4 year degree. (See Earned Child Tax Credit). Then take them off at the knees where they say “what about me”

-Offer expanded assistance for those over 30 years old to go to a 2 or 4 year public uni if you choose that didn’t.

-create a bill that expands investment in vocational and trade schools in low college areas.

-provide a tax credit for the parents who have a child that is a first generation college student.

-direct a long term permanent cap on student loan interest rate.

I honestly think this is a strategy—albeit a terrible one. It’s as if they tried to create two categories, “educated” versus “uneducated,” hoping that if someone felt they were being labeled as uneducated, they might think, “Hey, maybe they’re right; I should align myself with the ‘educated’ side and vote accordingly.” Just my take on this whole "educated vs. uneducated" narrative that’s been circulating for a while.

We’ve seen those maps repeatedly showing that blue states tend to have higher education levels than red states. And while the data may be factual, what’s the real purpose of constantly pointing it out? It seems divisive and doesn’t add much to the conversation other than reinforcing stereotypes, which isn’t helpful.

Let’s not overlook the resentment from those who say, “I paid off my student debt—what about me?”

Which is a LOT of people. "Nobody told you to take out the loan." Not saying it's a right/wrong thing but I'm sure people here feel that way as well.

Good point…

But if I had my guess, it’s not a non-zero or even a small number in total.
But the % of HS/GED and HS dropouts who would be against stand only student loan forgiveness is higher than the college grad “what about me.”

A definite hole in the inclusiveness of my idea. But it is fortified as best as one can.

Sitting trying to figure out what that answer for that group would be.

45 mil paying student loans and half or more some college, no degree or worse as their highest education attainment

Democratic brand is non viable in so many states.

It's non viable in rural areas.

This may just be a Trump phenomenon, but if it isn't, what is the solution?

Leftist keep telling me create more left wing government programs.

But I'm skeptical.

Donald Trump has faced a conviction and has a history of making statements that are consider inflammatory, derogatory, or divisive. Remarkably, he has consistently reframed the negative press coverage against him, often labeling it as “fake news.” With this track record, it’s unlikely that a phone hack incident would sway public opinion. If anything, it may simply add fuel to the fire, potentially intensifying his base’s support rather than diminishing it.

Bernie gave y’all the playbook 21 years ago and y’all still took the bait.

What are the percentages there?

its less about specifically Rogan, Rogan just makes this problem really clear.

Left aligned media people, believed they could shun undesirable people and ideas out of existence.
Because the party is more female and college educated.

this inevitably meant shunning people and ideas that young men tend to like;

Young men like edgy/crude language and comedy,
men are more attracted to things like Crypto,
fringe ideologies ect

From 2016-2022 it was a full on war on stuff young men like, what did it do?
The left abandoned those spaces, and tried to suppress/shun them.

Gen-Z is now treding more conservative than Millennials.
and you can cope and blame Peter Thiel if you want to, but dem and the left played a part in this.

People hate high prices, but they're unwilling to learn why high prices exist. You can't solve a problem if you misdiagnose it.

Good luck with the incoming cuts to consumer protection agencies.

Enough with the coddling of anti-intellectualism.

voters get to decide, unless you plan on making everyone take a economics class.

you have to coddle them.
