He was advocating for a Retvrn to raw power politics, with him and techie buddies enslaving everyone else.
But THEN a topic where he is at risk, targeted assassination as redress, he’s all like “actually laws, debates, free and fair elections and norms matter, let’s all play nice

Biden pardoned every nonviolent federal prisoner who got temporary compassionate release due to COVID.
The cash-for-kids judge being considered nonviolent really shows us how our elites define violence as “non elites doing fast violence.” It seems that there’s nothing you can do administratively that is considered violence, including abusing a position of trust and using the coercive power of the state to more or less be a slave trader.

I said this 2 weeks ago that he won on the promise of lowering inflation. Now that he is in it looks like the focus will be austerity programs, tariff wars (that cause more inflation), tax cuts for the wealthy, and deregulation and they will try to hide this pivot by making a big show of mass deportation.
The problem with all of that is they didn’t win the election on any of these principals, Trump won with the same number he loss with in 2016 which means he doesn’t have a mandate. Don’t get me started on the project 2025 stuff they are prepping for which Trump literally lied and said he wouldn’t do. Now it seems they are going after unions and basic vaccines. Things normal people don’t have a problem with.
Changes these drastic requires a grand fiction for people to buy into. The closest thing I can think of to all of this was Brexit. Brexit was a horrible idea but there was years of campaigns to get support for it. I can’t think of a modern example of someone just lying to get In, not being really popular, and then taking extreme policies on all topic. I don’t know how it crashes but it’s not sustainable. Hell it’s the opposite of sustainable it’s destined to fail. The problem is I don’t know how bad the fall out will be, and I don’t think they know either. All they can really do is hope that if they fan the flames of xenophobia through mass deportation enough people won’t notice they are getting screwed.
Anyhow talking about mass deportation as a distraction for doing a bunch of unpopular policies.
Like I have said I fully expect Eric Adam’s to go far right on this issue and for him to let ICE run around the city with his full support. Adam’s is delusional, and desperate to avoid prosecution. So I fully expect him to sell the city out to save his own skin. A big show of ICE coming to NYC to arrest undocumented immigrants is the exact kind fiasco that Trump needs to keep people from paying attention to the Republicans making life worst for everyone through policy & paper work.
Democrat leadership, should be flying people to NY to talk to Letitia James to see about getting state charges for Adam’s. Basically to give Adam’s something to think about before he betrays the party (and NYC) again for his own personal ambitions. Hochul, should be denouncing this too but she’s too invested in Adam’s to see how he’s about to drag her down too. Then again I was also saying year’s ago they should have charged Abbot with human trafficking so I also expect the democrats to again let Adam’s embarrass all of them due to Hochul refusing to go against what Adam is doing and trying to rein him in.
I really can’t emphasize enough how as much as Republican leadership have shown themselves to be nihilistic and corrupt in their approach to politics. Democrat Leadership continue to show how politically compromised and ineffective they are in their own approach to politics.

It’s ironic because Pelosi became minority leader and later speaker because she replaced the previous minority leader because Democrats had a slight loss to the GOP in the 2002 midterms.
And by extension, they were defeated by George W. Bush, a man Pelosi now considers honorable.
Jump 22 years later and your Party loses to Hitler (who stopped being Hitler the day after the election) and no significant lineup change is needed, apparently.
The story that party loyalists tell us is not adding up. The standards have slipped. We need Gordon Ramsey as the party chair at this point.
Also, the alternative to AOC? Who is he.? Grady Crumbley or something.

It’s a joke. Like I said they are just so politically compromised and ineffective they can’t put up any type of fight but infighting at this point. They need new party leadership and new thought leadership.

is right, we all know why Musk wants to bury self driving cars stats.You got to love how even Musk admits the technology is starting to really get good. Ok, then drive it on a closed track or obstacle course.
Sadly, some pedestrians will will be killed and citizens need to be ready to document it. Especially if a Tesla or a cyber truck kills a kid, we need to make sure that that kids’ totally unnecessary death was not in vain. We will need to build our own Laken Rileys.
