***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Just to clarify, I meant be awful over on Twitter and elsewhere.

Basically, doing counter misinformation as SOP as well as more macabre and threatening posts.

It will further erode the internet experience but grass roots lefty voters have decided to go “hawk” since it’s clear that grassroots righties definitely have and will continue to go “hawk” when it comes to posting sludge.

It’s become clear that in the fight to win over low info swing voters, we need to flood Twitter and other socials with sludge of our own.

Niketalk will keep looking better in comparison to social over these coming years.
I think democrats are going to go to bluesky over the next year. Especially if tik tok is banned.

Oh yeah, I’m looking forward to it being the Twitter for people are fundamentally decent or at least decent enough to want to interact with.

We do need to further flood Twitter and any other pro Trump platform. Mostly, it will be flooded with sewage by way of bots, ai lefty slop, ai slop designed to viscerally upset and more importantly antagonize differing factions of Trump’s coalition. All sorts of noxious content is coming there way.

So I’ll probably keep my Twitter accounts as vectors for sludge. Because, we know, “free speech” came back when the Boer bought it. But I’ll use them to observe and occasionally troll for a few minutes here or there.

CNN is toast.

This is what happens when you try to pander to people who think anything that isn't Fox News is the "liberal media" and you just end up alienating your core audience.

I think the resistance 2.0 will do much better this time around because it’ll have a better understanding of the MSM’s actual role.

They aren’t part of the resistance, they are the voice of the oligarchs.

A Democrat who spends the 2027-2028 cycle taunting and heckling the press at their rallies will be successful. Hell, just call them “enemies of the people” too. 😂

I love this for them! Never seen an ounce of pushback or any correction with their complicit asses!

I have concepts of thoughts and prayers 💅

BlueSky and Threads have a "Hood Talk problem"

Starting an uncensored NikeTalk meant that only the MOST unhinged and psychopathic Nike Talkers would feel compelled to make an account.

that made the initial user base was exceptionally toxic and unattractive.

Thus making the platform totally unattractive to the median sneaker forum user.

The Threads "no politics:" policy made it attract the most brand safe and boring, celebrities/brands

Blue Sky with its elaborate and aggressive blocking tools, attracted the most censorious and annoying hyper partisan progressives.

So the perception of these platforms is;
Threads; boring, corporate.
BlueSky; Hyper progressive, hyper sensitive.

as a result its going to be extremely hard to get the median person interested in micro blogging to move over.

you'll notice, in the past few weeks there's been a huge intra democratic party debate between left and center intellectuals on the future of the democratic party. That convo has pretty much entirely taken place on Twitter.

Twitter has major problems, but ultimately the network effects are too strong
and the competition fundamentally misunderstand what attracts people to micro blogging.

My prediction;

Threads will have super high user counts because of the Instagram connection but low engagement,
because people who are compelled to type on the internet are disproportionately interested in politics.

BlueSky will maintain a small community, that will peel off more partisans but ultimately growth will slow.
Because people who are interested in reading large volumes of short form text on the internet, want to hear spicy takes.

and they don't want to be blocked from huge sections of the website because they follow the wrong person.

I think it will be interesting to see how the media reacts to people turning away from news coverage of Trump. This will be a total of about 14+ years straight of almost non-stop daily news coverage of Trump when it is all said and done.

I definitely did NOT write reviews, over there, of the most popular types of narcotic pain pills, that people took to get high, back in 2007.

I turned off all that **** since election night. My viewership was already down, but there's zero chance I'm doing another 4 years of daily Trump ******* updates.

And I'll probably never go back to that constant news cycle ****, regardless of who is in office. It just isn't healthy, imo.
