***Official Political Discussion Thread***

This goes back to my point of the type of people Americans idolize.

This whiny voiced idiot is always into or saying some foul @$&@ but somehow gets worshipped by ~40 year olds who think he’s a genius for saying “Gas tank on E but all drinks on me” in a song 20 years ago.

How do you even start to connect with those people through media at any level?
Don't forget it's not only the consumer it's the main stream outlets that push it as well. As much as I hate his bad antics, nobody forced this company to make the above post but they did. Why? People in power have agenda's. There's a warden in Florida that also owns a mainstream rap\hiphop radio station in New York. The Breakfast Club.
But yes, you're right. It can be powerful if people wake up.
Sooner or later that image\lifestyle will soon dissipate and be looked down upon.

“I voted for him because I don’t believe him.”

Gotta be the wildest logic ever for casting a vote.

Voted for Trump who promised to gut government jobs

Went ahead and got a government job

Cries when your promise gets fulfilled

"Unintended consequence" lol

These gen Z kids can't think for themselves and live through others. Hence the rise and popularity of streamers
I think this is a half wrong Millennial take. Millenials/Boomers sit on YouTube and get sucked in the conspiracy wormholes or also get news from places like Fox News. There’s an anti-intellectualism wave more broadly that has been propelled forward by the change in media and how people consume.

Whats the difference between them living through streamers and boomers/gen x and their love of Trump?
None.

Every generation in this country is dumb as hell. Gen X/Boomers were out here paying cash money in grocery stores to buy celebrity gossip magazines :lol Reality television became a thing because of Gen X. Grown people were CRYING when their favorite American Idol contestant lost.

The way ppl consume information has
changed, but the celebrity obsession has always been there.

Ahh man, no one told them it's actually DEIA (accessibility)? Guess the whole thing doesn't sound sexy.

It feels like a reversal in trend though.

With every generation, it felt like people were bound to become more intelligent and decent human beings.

Even within our generation (millennials), there were huge shifts in what people thought/accepted from the early-mid 2000s to the early 2010s. For example, homophobic and racist humor went from commonplace in damn near everything you watched to becoming unacceptable.

What we have now is a backlash by the people who went from being the “cool” high school class disruptors and college date rape frat boys to social pariahs when our generation became adults.

Their broccoli haircut Paul Brothers worshipping descendants are just copying their former Limp Bizkit idolizing parents that we’ve been making fun of for the past 20 years.

yeah dude, I'm not even mad. :lol

I work with a bunch of dudes from ohio and Kentucky they're cool but I still clown them.
I understand why someone who lives in NY or California or Boston or Chicago would, but I never understood why a state like Minnesota would feel comfortable clowning Ohio . It’s like when an ugly person is laughing a little too hard when another person is getting roasted for being ugly.

The turnaround in all these people seeing the negative, but obvious consequences of their votes is crazy. Some probably haven’t even made it home from stumbling around DC for the inauguration.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A state senator in Mississippi has filed a bill entitled the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act.”

As written by Sen. Bradford Blackmon, the bill would make it “unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo.”

There are also fines involved, the third strike resulting in the loss of $10,000 from the perpetrator.

Fining fapping...
