Currently owned by the ACE Cogeneration Company, which is owned by a partnership composed of ArcLight Capital Partners, DCO Energy, and Northern Star Generation, the Trona plant was the last coal burning electrical plant in California.

Brown outs this summer were caused by gas leaks and that affected only a couple communities over a short period of time. Coal is an outdated entity in this state in terms of efficiency and how it affects the environment.
And deregulation in the past is what created the Enron monster
California energy policies are better suited towards regulation.

How long is it going to take him to figure out that coal generation only produces 1/3 of the electricity and that the percentage is not going up?

Utility companies WILL NOT buy coal because they too are headed toward green energy solutions, natural gas generation is cheaper AND more efficient than coal gen, and the prospect of electricity storage is about to increase the efficiency of electricity consumption by reducing the need to run costly generators just in case utilities need to meet an unexpected demand.

I've been to many big cities. And lived and visited in what you consider the most violent. Maybe you just don't appreciate art, culture, progress, technology, exchange of ideas, standards of intelligence when exchanging those ideas, etc.
