While Trump's appeal is most based on white identity politics, he does have an element of toxic masculinity identity politics. He is especially appealing to guys who don't have post secondary education.
So I can see how a small percentage of Chicanos, especially rural and Chicano men of limited education would be attracted to Trump's crude and macho persona.
