***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Ain't no half stepping Tomi, her schtick got old anyway

naw, da way she summoned such explosive reactions from da left and now da religious right means = $$$$

wish she would've done that breakfast club interview, that would've been a Trump-esque worlds colliding mainstream/urban/political/music left/right event.

I got no doubt someone will scoop her up, but just like that Milo cat her 15 minutes will be up soon. She got nothing to say, and just invoking reactions will only get her so far

Milo was chopped off by da same forces that has attempted to chop Tomi, only difference is Milo spoke of something that was extremely taboo to da Mainstream and religious right (but being subtly pushed by da fringes of da left) and Tomi spoke on something as taboo to da religious right, but effectively settled in da Mainstream (albeit still evenly divided, with gains in technology mudding da issue further)

She's gonna have to rely on the non-religious right to prop her up. Probably end up at Breitbart

that's not really a bad thing persay, its probably da biggest crosssection/wing of da right.

what everyone should be weary of is da social engineering/morality wings of da left and right.

anytime any of these folks are depowered its a good thing for everyone.

Tomi Lahren flourishing is not good for anyone.

She is a troll that loves to antagonize and run her mouth with impunity, the second she gets smacked back she plays victim and calls for order

She didn't get fired for being pro choice, she got fired for pissing off Beck. And like Beck pointed out, her stance was completely hypocritical.

Apparently, Trump wants Ryan's head now?

He told his followers to watch this chick on Fox News (was it last night?), who told the audience that Ryan must step down.

Between that and Bannon's remarks during the AHCA negotiations, something tells me they don't know what happens when you **** with Congress.

Edit: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...s-judge-jeanine-paul-ryan-20170325-story.html

Ryan was thinking about leaving politics not too long ago, or maybe stepping down as House leader of the GOP if the Dems had taken it back.

I don't think dude makes it to 2020. Part of the condition for him being Speaker was the Freedom Caucus not give him hell like the did Boehner.

Benrie is going to propose Medicare for all in Congress, :{

My god he can be such a ******* self centered idiot sometimes

If you're not a politician in the back pockets of the insurance and pharma lobby, how is medicare for all a bad thing?

Universal coverage has always been the goal.

The viability of it can be discussed but I just felt that your use of the word selfish was strange in this instance

Beck is buffoon as well, no one is doubting that. But even buffoons can be right every once in a while

Young white women who choose to be conservative are making a Faustian bargain. In exchange for excusing all the wrongs of wealthy white men and tolerating their sexual abuse, they get to have power and privilege over everyone else other than wealthy white men. For them, getting groped by future Brock Turners at College and future Donald Trumps at work is a small price to pay for wealth and power over poor people and people of color as well as a a fine house, a big car and the ability to raise their kids in a fairy tale world.

It's like the deal that Republican barrio papis make minus the wealth, power, house, and fairytale life. You do get a Hemi though and with regular stopping and frisking by cops replacing the the campus rape and workplace sexual harassment.

Basic brown papis get finessed, literally and figuratively.

^All Americans if I'm not mistaken...basically universal care in other words

I doubt it'd ever get far in this congress but it wouldn't be the worst thing to run on next year,IMO

thats cuz Tucker is doing good ratings wise, but as far as programing? Megyn Kelly fit better between da old school Bill O'Riley and da conservative ideologue Sean Hannity.

Then I don't understand Rusty's opposition to it. I'm not playing dumb. I genuinely want to know. Is it that the timing is bad? Or that it's not feasible? Or something else?

Probably has to do with the amount of pull big Pharma has on so many in congress. For everyday people though, it'd be bringing the country up to modern western standards really :lol,I bet it'd be popular with voters across the aisle too since everyone would get coverage.

It's getting there to that end goal that's gonna be beyond arduous. Unfortunately, it won't become a genuine possibility in my eyes until congress has been flipped in favor of the Dems.

Fair play to Bern for throwing it out there for debate though, perfect timing after the epic GOP FAIL on that end

Rich and poor people on the same healthcare? Even his fellow Dems won't vote for that, unless I'm reading that wrong

explain?

wait he means Medicare for all Congressmen/women or for all Americans?

It is for all Americans. It is the same as he been talking about since forever.

-The reason it is stupid is that at because look at the temperature in the room. This has no way of passing because the GOP control Senate and House. even worse, I would guess Bernie is not going to make the CBO score it, and if it does then he has to defend the gigantic cost of it. It would be clear that just taxing the rich might not pay for it

Now their are many in the far left base that don't know there are many left win options for doing Universal Health care. It might just serve as another purity test for his supporters. That if you don't support Bernie's plan, somehow you must be bought. All the while Bernie supports the major amendments most Democrats want to see to the ACA.

It is pointless political theater at best, and a way to jam up his allies at worst.

Girls like her remind me of black men like Ben Carson, at least in the abstract.

Back when da pied piper of R&B had us all steppin', I took an international relations class and looking back on it, it's lessons feel more applicable to social justice and Domestic politics.

We have a wealthy, white, male Oligarchy and Gerontocracy (it's not just that government officials are older, that is fine and proper, but that our welfare State redistributes wealth out f education and programs for poor and young families and send money to old folks including the ones who do not need the money) which form a Hegamon.

The question is how young people, poor people, middle class people, women, LGBTQIA people and people of color react. Do they they form an alliance to create a balance of power or do they jump on the bandwagon and cut a deal with the Hegamon?

Tanaryeas Lahgarian, Ben Barson and Los Papis por la Naranja join the Hegamon. A slight majority of all white women join the Hegamon. Men of color are more likely than women of color to join the Hegamon. Those who are woke are those who oppose the Hegamon.

Beck was the OG Lahren/Milo

nah, Beck's angle was always couched in religious morality, which sometimes intersects with other aspects of overall Republicism.

Milo was a millennial polemicist who happened to use his gay status as a protected class to launch spears of his own, but he originally got famous defending freedom of speech in da arts of da video gaming community during gamergate, and expanded to politics battling political correctness.

Tomi's angle is far less innovative as far as history shows with blonde right wing darlings, but her millennial appeal and prochoice stance gives her unorthodoxed versatile range, and she ain't afraid to go behind enemy lines... contrary to what folks in this thread think, she got a overall thumbs up showing up at da daily show.
