***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I'm in tears.

He asks FOUR times if they've heard the expression before. Then he claims he just invented it. FOUR times. FOUR ******* TIMES. **** is wrong with him.

In an interview with The Economist, President Trump explained how he coined the expression, which actually has been around since the early 19th century. According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of "prime (or priming) the pump" is "to take steps to encourage the growth or functioning of something."

Does anybody know what authority the FBI has on the president? Say they find a bunch of illegal activity... who actually has the authority to bring charges or impeach the president? Is it on congress to do act?

I think the DOJ would be the authority to prosecute charges, not sure on impeachment

■ Andrew G. McCabe, the acting director of the F.B.I., is testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

■ Mr. McCabe contradicted the White House’s assertion that James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director fired by President Trump this week, had lost the support of rank-and-file F.B.I. agents.

■ Mr. McCabe also said that the firing of Mr. Comey had not affected the Justice Department’s investigation of Russia’s meddling in the presidential election.

■ The committee’s top Democrat asked Mr. McCabe to tell senators about any efforts by the White House to intervene with the investigation.

Never thought I'd ever be rooting for the spooks :rollin

My how things change :lol

Right? I don't know how to feel right now, cause I've never trusted the FBI (or any intelligence agency) in my life due to their shady and evil histories :lol I'm willing to overlook it temporarily if it means damaging Trump's credibility though.

For the record, I do agree that Comey deserved to get fired for getting involved in politics, but definitely not under these circumstances. Inbred, foul breath, sister @#$@$@@ Trump supporters keep talking about "the libbies wanted him fired too, and now look how they're acting!". They're not capable of understanding that people aren't neccessarily Comey supporters; they're upset that the lead investigator of a corruption case was fired for extremely suspicious "reasons".

No one would've been upset if Comey was fired BEFORE this whole Russia @#$@ started. I don't know how that isn't clear to people, but I guess generations of incest will do that to your brain's capacity for logic.

All the FBI can do is investigate and provide the evidence to the racist attorney general Sessions but he recluse himself so it would go the independent special counsel in charge of the investigation if one is appointed.

Impeachment process would fall on Congress. The House of Reps takes a vote on impeachment (majority vote which Republicans control) based on the case provided by the special counsel, then the trial takes place before the Senate (Republicans control the Senate).

Trump is bullet proof right now cause just like a mob boss he's getting rid of anyone at the Federal level that isn't loyal to him. All we can hope for is for the FBI to release the investigation to the public and the public to demand resignation cause obviously Congress won't do crap. Firing Comey may trigger a response from the bureau agents to do just that as revenge.

Here is the scary thing reading that...

I'm fairly certain Ninjahood is significantly smarter than donald trump.

ninjahood is way more coherent.

True.

Both Ninja and Trump no nothing about economics, they are completely uninformed.

But it takes someone that knows the subject to point out Ninja's misinformation. Trump can't trick anyone, he words give away his ignorance.

Maybe Trump is more competent with calendars.

"We want this to come to its conclusion, we want it to come to its conclusion with integrity," said deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders, referring to the FBI's probe into Moscow's interference in last year's election. "And we think that we've actually, by removing Director Comey, taken steps to make that happen."
