The imma independent/centrist therefore my critiques are more valid angle is so old

We've seen this dive before.

Can't flex intellectually? Go with the "centrist/open minded" angle. When that doesn't work because you're clearly not really that, go for the thug, everyone else is a dweeb angle. When that's proven wrong too, cry in the corner and call Meth.

And do it all over again.

I disagree heavily with some of the other left-leaning people in here when it comes to sports threads.

Doesn't stop us from having a civil discourse in those threads or in here.

These tests don't even tell half of the story about a persons political affiliations. It's not about how many issues you agree with with a certain political party, it's about which one issue outweighs the rest.

A southern lower class bigot might be leaning left on many economic policies, but as we've seen, he'd even sacrifice his own health care to put a fellow bigot in the White House. Because hate is just that potent. It can even outweigh self-interest.

Man we did that joint months ago. Just search for it.

Second, there is nothing special about being a Centrist. You are not a special snowflake if you are, especially if you are left leaning.

Most centrist are just people who are either liberal or conservative up hold extreme views on a couple issues. Or people that want to the intellectual high ground without doing he necessary research.

Most intelligent liberals I know have very nuanced views on public policy issues and solutions. Same with my smart conservative friends

In the same vein, the folks who say "keep calling us stupid for supporting Trump (even though he cheated us) and we'll vote for da don again" don't realize that they are in fact confirming their stupidity.

But they get mad if you point it out.

It's def more of a game than something to really hang your hat on

Where do you guys fall on the Freedom x Economics axis?

It's weird to see this because I know from a purely philosophical/theortical perspective this is accurate and yet it feels wrong because the overton window is so far left that I feel more right wing. It's a good reminder that things have gone off the rails when actual liberals are considered centrist or even right wing.

here it is handullz handullz

as apposed to thinking its a zero sum game "one side is right da other side is "evil"

:lol :>D that's a muuuuch better way to view political spectrums.

A lot of the questions seemed really dated and antiquated, then I realized it's just mirroring the popular opinions in this country. This is where we are. 'A woman's place is in the kitchen.' is a legit question that needs a response.

You act like a good portion of the country, men and women alike, don't feel this way, though

Conservatism goes hand and hand with religious ideologies, and that is the climate around religion in many regards

Yes, and I believe that this is a problem. That's my point.
