***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Am I the only person that despises being called a liberal or left wing for simply pointing out factual, empirically proven holes in Trump.

This zero sum game of left vs right is killing any real progress in this country.

That's what they want us to do: create dissension so we don't realize we're all getting played.

Yup and it's sad.

A part of me hopes that Trump splinters off a Republican party and just does his own thing and maybe even wins the election.

It would prove a 3rd party candidate could succeed and that the American people don't have to keep picking between the lesser of two evils.

how has the noi affected you and those around you?

I can tell you how redlining and jim crow has affected my family/community
But they don't Preach black supremacy?! what about the NBPP?!
there are buddhist supremacists too...

but how is the existence of an random idea more important than an idea that actually has been implemented through policy and policing?

Jim Crow was enacted and enforced by the Democrat party. As well as the KKK- it was the military arm of the Democrats.

I would love that.

The fact that Trump is gaining massive traction is irking the elites. If he ends up winning, it'll be the first time that the elites didn't get their choice.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, it's Trump. As a US citizen and even more so a human being, I could never support authoritarian policies.

Your so ignorant and hyper unaware it's absolutely shocking man.

Speak for yourself... is racism your excuse for not being successful too?

If black folks cannot complain about anything that happened before 1965, how can the KKK and its origins around the Democratic party in 1865 be relevant? If we are to be ahistorical about redlining and segregation and slavery and go off of what happened in the last week, we must conclude that the KKK is a Republican operation since the GOP front runner cannot emphatically shake their endorsement.

Yeah I don't know how an educated person can miss that targeting of demographics.

Also all races use and sell drugs at roughly the same rates but minorities get arrested and convicted at higher rates and serve longer sentences.

The Liberal Democrats pushed the Dixiecrats out of the party, and were welcomed with open arms by the GOP

Read to educate yourself:

But the political enforcement of Jim Crow was entirely in Democratic hands. The Ku Klux Klan functioned as the paramilitary wing of the Democratic party, and it was used to drive Republicans out of the South after the Civil War. Before he took up the cause of civil rights as president, Lyndon Johnson acting as Senate majority leader blocked the GOP’s 1956 civil-rights bill, and gutted Eisenhower’s 1957 Civil Rights Act. Democratic senators filibustered the GOP’s 1960 Civil Rights Act.

I am successful, but that's completely irrelevant when talking about societal issues a frightening number of racist whites like yourself either don't understand, or will defend to no end because of your ingrained hate. Please don't ask me to post degrees.

i can do the same.. i hope your's are as plural as mine

Blco this is basic American history, you aren't revealing anything. The KKK and that portion of people that were in the Democratic party are Republicans today, anyone with a basic grasp of history knows that. The majority of them in the rural South.

OHHHH... you choose your political opinions without factoring in the history of politics in america....

that makes it easier to understand why you say what you say.

c'mon bruh.... at least come correct when you argue against somebody who knows his history....
