Maybe you guys are racist against anyone that isn't black? Maybe that says enough right there.

I stand by my opinion of there is absolutely no rhetoric targeting just black folk. If you show me some, I'll change my opinion.

This systemic racism thing you guys talk on here sounds like an excuse more then anything. I know and work with plenty of black millionaires that are well off in this country. Juss saying
I'm white. Hold this L.
And the rest of your post is exactly why you're being called a KKK member :lol

Gov't dependency is the real killer in the black community. You can run it with your racist talk all you want... Your missing the big picture

But show me the laws tho.. Educate me please. I'm willing to hear you guys out but I haven't ever seen it in law before

You really playing dumb like Jim Crow didn't happen?

http://www.ferris.edu/jimcrow/links/misclink/examples/homepage.htm

Subsequent laws have since removed some of the explicit terms like negros, but you're being wilfully ignorant so why even bother explaining how those laws that are only 50 something years old still have ramifications to today. You'll just throw out some lefty rhetoric and insults.

Sweet Jesus...I didn't know Jindal screwed Louisiana like that. That **** is downright criminal.

Back to my point about Republican governors ruining states tho...[emoji]128564[/emoji][emoji]128564[/emoji]

This guy is so clueless. Ofcourse there's not literally "apply this law x% more to black people" written in the current laws.

It's how those laws are applied. Racism influences how the laws are applied to minorities.

-African americans commit drug offenses at roughly the same rate as white people. They are only ~13% of the population yet they are 37% of the people arrested for drug offenses

-They are several times more likely to be stopped and frisked than white people.

-They on average get 20% longer sentences than whites convicted for the same crime

-They are 3 times more likely to get their car searched than whites

-They are ~20% more likely to be detained in prison when awaiting a felony trial than whites.

The list goes on and on. The fact this has to be explained to you is why you deserve the KKK comparisons

Jim Crow was implemented by the Democrat party.

Democratic Party. They do not go by Democrat Party.

Also stop trying to convince yourself that this argument still stands. The Democratic Party was Conservative and Southern Based at the time. The Republican Party was more liberal and northern and west coast based.

Today, the Republican Party is conservative and southern based. The Democratic Party is more liberal and Northern/West Coast Based.

So yes, the Democratic Party instituted Jim Crow. But the people who instituted Jim Crow today would not be Dems.... They would be Republicans.

You know that. Stop trying to come with this nonsense argument no matter how much better it makes you sleep at night.

@CL wanna know how institutional racism targets blacks without saying "blacks can't do this" ? Remember how in 2000s clubs And bars had a dress code that said no timbs, baggy pants, or over sized tees. Guess who that affected overwhelmingly without specifically stating what race?

Democrats instituted Jim Crow and the KKK was the military arm of the Democrat party. Nothing that you can say will ever be able to change history. The Republican Party is the party of Abraham Lincoln and the civil rights act. They are on the right side of history on this issue.

Jim Crow laws are in effect today?

I understand some laws from 1880 are racist. We all know this. You and I weren't around for these instances and they don't exist in current law. So i don't know why you keep bringing up these old *** laws up like they are relevant in 2016 like I'm voting pro jim crow if i vote right wing. It doesn't make any sense.

No white person wore baggy clothes in 2003? Stop that

....
so jim crow is in effect today? I'm confused i thought that stopped in like '54

I'm just curious as to how laws enacted in 1880 can be put on people today....in a sense of he's not black and he supports SOME right wing ideology.. he's the KKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GTF*H

There were Democrats that supported Civil Rights too before the party's realigned.

Matter of fact the was a strong progressive arm of the Democrat party that was calling for rapid desegregation. There were probably as many of these progressives around as they were Dixiecrats. But logistics have the Dixiecrat more political power

Dixiecrats left, really they where pushed out, of the Democratic Party. And the GOP welcomed them with open arms. And they started the Southern strategy.

And lets keep it real about what the Southern Strategy is, it is communicating racist rhetoric with coded language. And this is one of the GOP's campaign strategies:

The modern GOP is not the part of Lincoln or Eisenhower. They are the part of Goldwater and Reagan. They are the party of racist dog whistle talking points, systemic racism and white supremacy

Robert Byrd, a KKK "Grand Cyclops", was a longtime high ranking Democrat Senator up until his death until 2010. He didn't switch parties. Here's Hillary, a Democrat, singing his praises.

how can people in 2016 be supportive of an administration from the 60's? Do you know why people even supported reagan?

Reaganomics fam.. look it up because it had nothing to do with racism.

Democrats don't mind spending.. but republicans feel bad after they spend so its controlled.
