But how is this even relevant? there could be a million other factors that coincide with these statements other then the white man is racist.Ofcourse there's not literally "apply this law x% more to black people" written in the current laws.
I'm just curious as to how laws enacted in 1880 can be put on people today....in a sense of he's not black and he supports SOME right wing ideology.. he's the KKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GTF*H
It's how those laws are applied. Racism influences how the laws are applied to minorities.
-African americans commit drug offenses at roughly the same rate as white people. They are only ~13% of the population yet they are 37% of the people arrested for drug offenses
-They are several times more likely to be stopped and frisked than white people.
-They on average get 20% longer sentences than whites convicted for the same crime
-They are 3 times more likely to get their car searched than whites
-They are ~20% more likely to be detained in prison when awaiting a felony trial than whites.
The list goes on and on. The fact this has to be explained to you is why you deserve the KKK comparisons
