The 18 trillion is a 10 year cost of this programs over 10 years.

@Rexanglorum

I remember a few years back when you were a staunch libertarian. I used to read your posts which were always well researched and argued and say to myself, "Dude is way to smart to actually believe this stuff."

Glad to see you've made an ideological conversion in a big way. One of my favorite posters on here. Salute.

i'm quite aware.. thats why i brought it up. Its actually an 18 trillion dollar increase. That brings the total projected u.s. spending for a 10 year period to 68 trillion under a sanders presidency.

I just don't understand how people see that as anything but a debt crisis in the making. Its absurd

You can't use an individual experience to dictate policy that effects millions of people

Example: I have read the is a heroin epidemic going on in America, welp I don't see any of that happening around me, no one in my neighborhood is hook on heroin. Then, it must not be a serious problem.

-There is hardly no voter fraud in America, well at least not enough to sway this election. But the GOP and conservatives fought to roll back a civil right laws to institute these ID laws

The reason that was given was "democracy" needed to be protected

Now people are saying it is hard for get the sufficient IDs. And instead of making it easier for people to get IDs, or even to cast a ballot, the GOP is actively trying to make it harder

Extend DMV hours, open more DMVs that do IDs, extend early voting, push mailed in ballots. Everyone should be interested in everybody being able to vote easily.

Isn't people not having access to vote also a threat to our democracy? So is the GOP making harder for them to obtain an ID, instead of easier?

Hmmm I wonder.......

I think sympathizing with people that can't make it to the dmv for an ID card is rediculous. I don't care if your skin color is green. It's also rediculous that people can live and function without an ID card in this country. Your asking for trouble with police, ect. What about employment? You can't even get a job without one

That's why we need the Great Wall of Mexico [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128679[/emoji]

You're thinking wayyyy too logically :lol

How come when Trump goes back and changes his stance he's making an informed conclusion based on new information, but when Kerry did the same thing he's a flip-flopper who you couldn't trust to be president?

Touché. Kerry let himself get got and let Bush stay around :{ while Trump gets by with his double speak and deflections and defensiveness :{

Voter suppression that disproportionately effect minorities is nothing :rolleyes

Rollback civil right legislation when there is no problem (voter fraud), then when people claim there is with access to IDs, claim that there is not problem :{ :lol

First of all.. asking for an ID to vote when there are 11 million illegal immigrants in this country is not out of the question. Im sure those are pretty much the only people walking around without an ID card fam. Lets keep it real here.

I don't know 1 US citizen of age personally that doesn't have n ID card. Do you?

So why are the GOP also trying to cutoff access to DMVs especially to minority groups, not letting people use their school and military IDs, against early voting, against increasing polling places, and against anything that would increase voter turnout.

Ok the ID laws are in place. But why is the GOP wanting to make it harder for people to obtain the IDs, and cast a vote.

They know the left wants the illegal's vote probably.. Im not too deep into the specifics because i agree with it for the most part.. but I don't see that effecting US citizens like it would the illegals.

just speculation tho
