These wind gusts love being willfully obtuse.

It's really simple, the GOP are blaming the Dems for the government shutdown, when all of their own party didn't even vote on their own bill. They look stupid. Are they blaming their own party as well? I don't think they are.

Did 100% of Democrats vote for it? Or Against it? Yea, your math on 100% is correct, but it is irrelevant.
Did user rillo561 say anything about the number of Democrats that voted for it? Did user rillo561 say anything about whether 100% of the Republican vote would have helped pass the bill? Nah?

My math seems pretty relevant. 100% of Republicans did not vote for the bill. That's what user rillo561 was getting at.

It’s really simple. The democrats blocked it. Even if ALL of the republicans voted for it, it still wouldn’t have passed. Math is important.

What would have changed if 100% of them did? If nothing, that’s why it’s irrelevant.

Don't the republicans have the ability to pass a continued resolution with a simple majority?

Are you referencing the so-called nuclear option? Is that what you think is the right move?
I may be wrong here but as I understand it a simple majority can pass a temporary extension of government funding at previous levels. Several continued resolutions have been used to extend the temporary funding up to now. It's simply kicking the can down the road. Yesterday was the deadline.
A more permanent solution qualifies as a budget, hence the 60 vote requirement. A continued resolution does not have that same requirement.

Ninja gonna be able to cop da Cuban with his extra money from the tax cuts.

Even if the GOP only need a simple majority to pass the temporary spending bill, it would still have failed.

The GOP couldn't even get its members to agree to a year long funding bill, they only want to kick the can down the road a second time.

In 2013 if was the Tea Party, especially Ted Cruz has forced a shutdown, the mainstream arm of the GOP wanted to compromise. In 2013, it was members of the GOP that screwed things up.

This time around, all they have to do is fund CHIP like promised and like the CBO recommends, and give the damn DACA protections they claim to support. Then cut the usual Obama Era bipartisan spending stuff.

This should be simple. But because Trump is an idiot they refuse to stand up to, we are in this position.

Stop blaming the god damn Dems for your party's incompetence. Republicans always wanna cry that the Dems are not stopping them from inflicting harm on Dreamers, immigrants, poor children and military families.

People the GOP ,and their voters, swear they care about.

dawg, government shut down plays to Trump's base...ol boy's not really pressed to cave into democratic DACA demands because if it came down to it he could just executive order back.

Economy booming, i just got a bonus from my old job and new job, :lol

let da government go down as long as da dems want it to, if thats what they wanna campaign on in da midterms, let em play with fire.

i ain't pressed on nothing Trump does...and da stuff i adamantly disagree with him on im confident he'll never have a supermajority in da senate that would tempt a wackobird in his team to use him to push something...

*puts feet up*
