A new Harvard-Harris poll shows that 85 percent of black Americans want a reduction in immigration levels to 1 million or lower. Also interesting: more Americans favored zero immigration, than wanted to increase immigration levels.

For context, in 2017 over 1.4 million legal immigrants arrived in America, while the number of illegals is unknown.

The respondents were not asked if want a reduction, they were asked what levels they found appropriate. That is a different question. We have no idea if the respondents know current levels.

Secondly, Africans Americans have a very high disapproval rating of Trump's immigration policies.

Also even if it was the case African Americans routinely vote in politicians that don't oppress immigrants and are pro immigration.

They fought during the Civil Rights Era to expand immigration from non white countries

Kinda like someone can hold one opinion but not lash out at other groups.

Wish white conservatives would learn this lesson from African Americans.

-African Americans hate Trump's immigration policies more than Hispanics and Whites. 30 points more than Hispanics

-They have higher rates of favoring immigrants strictly for diversity (every group including Hispanics is overall opposed).

-And have the highest level of support for shutting down the government over DACA.
