I don't understand why dudes think you can't like guns and not support the nra or support sensible gun laws. I like guns like I dig cars, but I ain't mad at having to get a license or seatbelts etc.

Dude please, both you and Killer Mike make horrible arguments about guns.
Killer Mike talks like a social democrat on nearly every issue, it advocates grass toots activism and voting to combat white supremacy. Until it comes to guns. Then he frames the situation that is hopeless, one that would eventually dissolve into a race war, so black people need to grab onto guns as their only hope.
His flip completely undermines all his other views. He preaches hope one second, and a race to the bottom the next. If Mike it anyone wants to live in a society that is safer and more free for people that look like him, then like most developed countries, we need gun control. Just like we need universal healthcare, and stronger Unions, and more regulations, and so on.
It is ridiculous to me that some that advocates for all black people arming themselves to protect themselves against violent whites, doesn't consider that there is another option. That is to get rid of the weapons that can cause harm.
I am sick and ******* tired of these disingenuous arguments that the only option is more guns. Especially when all I ask for is some reasonable regulations. Not taking away all guns.
Killer Mike and people like him on the gun issue are not better than rich people that claim a tax increase or progressive rate for the betterment of the country is tyranny.
Btw, If someone in 2018 supports the NRA and their buffoonery, they are supporting white supremacists, not black power or civil rights.

When this nation gets to a point where the police are demilitarized and the criminal justice system is reformed then sign me up for getting rid of guns.
Until then I'm good especially when Black and Brown people get 70% of weapons convictions and you know damn well we don't own 70% of the guns legal or illegal.
I think California is considered pretty progressive.

I'm of the thought that black folks should def tool up. That being said, hypothetically, if it ever gets to the point of a tyrannical gov't coming for it's citizens, laws and gun control etc are pretty irrelevant, so I see no need to be against them now.

Yes the criminal justice system comes down harder on black people on gun laws. Just like all most everything else. I am aware the criminal justice system is ****** up, I want to fix that too. We can both at the same time.
Think for a second. If black people are getting pinched on gun laws more, is that not an argument to to get rid of all these easily accessible guns. Or maybe you could argue that the laws need to be applied to whites and black more evenly. Or pinishment needs to be weaker, Or that the DOJ needs to start suing states for civil rights violations for uneven sentencing.
But Nahhh. Let us align ourselves with a group that advocates for policy that helps flood poor neighborhoods with illegal guns, ones that make it easy for cops and DAs to use gun laws against black communities
And let us act like the only solution is less regulations. I am more sympathetic to this argument with knives than guns.

Come on man, Black people were and still are getting felonies for weed and the solution isn't stop weed from coming into the community.
I like guns but I'd love to live in a world where they aren't needed, I'd venture to say you hate guns and can't understand why a civilized society needs or wants them.

Weed and guns are nit the same, so different policy solutions are needed. Plus you miss the part were the NRA and people that ride with them, actually enable the police to target black people in such a way.
I don't hate guns, I am fine with living in a society with them in it. But that society needs to be responsible with them. America fails at that
